260 Chapter 260: The Risk Of Allergic Reaction (1/2)

By the time Ethan and Kylie returned from their walk, they were both hungry. They had missed dinner, but there were leftovers for them in the fridge. Kylie dished out plates for them, heated them up, and brought them to the table. Lucy had prepared ginger chicken, rice, and vegetable julienne. It was one of Ethan's favorite dishes, and his eyes lit up when he saw what was on his plate.

When Stephen heard that they were home, he came out of his room and joined them at the table. Kylie took a few bites from her plate, and then she asked Stephen if he'd given any thought to the situation with Sally's face.

Stephen sighed and said, ”I've looked into it a bit, but it is not easy to get information about unless you are in the know if you know what I mean. The doctor's who do these treatments are paid well to keep them as hush as possible. As it turns out, the procedure itself is a kind of plastic surgery; the side effects you've seen could be the result of an allergic reaction to hyaluronic acid.”

Kylie frowned, and she said, ”I would think these A-List actors would be more careful with their faces.”

”The risk of an allergic reaction is shallow,” Stephen replied, ”and as these women get older and older, the risk begins to bother them less and less.”

While they were talking, Dinah came out with a salad bowl, and everyone at the table became very quiet very quickly. She sat down and looked around the table; nobody said a word. Finally, she turned to Stephen and said, ”I heard everything, but don't worry. You can speak freely. I won't tell a soul.”

”Ethan sighed, and he said, ”Aren't you just the little miss nosey?”

”Whatever,” she shrugged. ”Can the allergic reaction be treated?”

”I would have to see the patient first,” Stephen replied.

Suddenly a wicked Cheshire's grin split Dinah's face. She snapped her fingers in front of Stephen's face. ”Stephen,” she wondered, ”do you still remember the day when we went camping?”

Suddenly Stephen looked as if he'd seen a ghost. ”What do you want?” he hissed. ”After all that has passed since that night, why would you bring it up now?”

”For starters,” she laughed, ”I would like you to get me some more food and top off my glass.”

Like a servant, Stephen stood up to do her bidding.

Kylie could see what was going on, but she didn't understand it, so she excused herself from the table.

The minute Kylie left the table, Dinah spat the food from her mouth into the trash can. She pointed at Stephen with a fork and said: ”What do you want to do?!”

Stephen looked at her calmly and said, ”I want you to close your fucking mouth!”

Dinah laughed and said, ”It's not even a possibility.”
