The housekeeper cleaned the broken pieces of glass up, then went to find Kylie in Dinah's room.

”Ma'am?”

”She's not here.” Dinah half-opened the door and blocked the way to the inside.

”Is ma'am out?” The housekeeper frowned.

Dinah thought for a while, then said, ”She found out she made a mistake and took Faith's clothes back when we were choosing clothes just then. She's going to exchange clothes with Faith now.”

Seeing the housekeeper wanted to say something, Dinah retorted before he opened his mouth, ”Kylie is the mistress, while you're merely a servant. Why are you overseeing her all the time? Is this Stephen's order too?”

The housekeeper was struck speechless with an embarrassed smile, then turned around walking away.

Stephen didn't know he had cast a special spell on Kylie yet, so he thought he better not annoy Dinah now, in case she would say something bad about him before Stephen.

Kylie used the same way to come to the intensive care unit. Nate was already in a deep sleep after being drugged by Fannie outside.

She quietly closed the door and called the man in a low voice, ”Ethan?” The man didn't give her any reaction. Only the electro-cardioscope monitor made some bleeps, which made Kylie more worried about him.

”Ethan? Are you asleep?” She walked to the bedside, looking down at the man who tightly closed his eyes. ”Ethan?”

When her hand just fell on his jaw, the man grabbed it and opened his eyes at the same time.

Kylie was finally relaxed.

”You scared me!” Kylie was a little annoyed.

”It's all because you've been close to Stephen right before my eyes this morning!” The man felt jealous of that.

Kylie laughed a little, kissing his forehead. ”I was just acting. Don't be so mean.”

”Come here,” he said.

Kylie looked down. She was already standing by the bedside now, and she couldn't move ahead again.

”Lie with me.” The man moved aside.

”Don't move!” Kylie stopped him. ”I don't need much space.” Saying that she walked to another side, avoiding the medical equipment, then lightly lay beside him.

The man still tried to move aside. Although he failed, it seemed quite tiring.

Her head was placed on his arm. ”The only thing you need to do now is to recover.”

”All I want to do now is to f*ck you.”

Kylie raised her head to pinch his face. However, the man had lost a lot of weight, so she was just able to pinch a layer of skin.

Kylie felt like crying. She would never allow him to be hurt once more because of her. No matter what would happen, she would do her best to protect Ethan. Even though Michael was her biological father, she would stand up for Ethan against him.

”Are you still jealous of her?” Ethan said gently, rubbing her back with his big palm.

”No, I saw her today when I met Michael,” Kylie told the truth.

However, to her surprise, Ethan was displeased at once.

”Did you already accept Michael as your father?”

Kylie could feel his hand turned cold within a second.

Michael was the shadow of his childhood, causing indelible scars to his soul.

However, Michael turned out to be Kylie's biological father.

Ethan hadn't attacked Michael yet exactly for the sake of Kylie.

”Kind of.” Kylie held Ethan's hand with their fingers interlaced. ”I won't help him, or feel sorry. You can do whatever you want to do to him.”

Ethan compressed his thin lips, staring at Kylie.

Kylie raised a smile. ”In my heart, nobody is more important than you.”

The man tightened his arm, pressing Kylie to his chest. When Kylie just struggled, the man moaned in pain.

Thinking that he just had been through surgery, Kylie didn't dare move again.

However, the man's body was growingly hot, and his breath was increasingly heavy.
