341 Chapter 341: A Sudden Call (1/2)
In the Empire Hotel.
Kylie was woken up by the rapid ringtone.
She patted her heart, which was beating fast, then answered the call. ”Hi, who is it?” ”Kylie,” A middle-aged man's hoarse voice sounded, ”are you asleep?”
Why does he suddenly call me?
”Dad?” Kylie was wide awake now and sat up from the sofa at once. ”Not yet. What's wrong?”
”Didn't you say you want to help me get revenge last time? Are you still interested?” Michael smiled, putting out his feelers.
Kylie understood Michael was testing her loyalty to him because Ethan and his mates were taking action tonight.
After a few seconds of thinking, Kylie replied in a hurry, ”Of course. What do you want me to do?”
”No. 2 warehouse, Sunset Port, now,” Michael said, then hung up.
Kylie didn't have time to tell Stephen where she was going but grabbed her windbreaker to take a taxi to go there.
The warehouse was where Ken had forced her to catch snakes and forced Faith to eat grape skins.
Therefore, Kylie was very familiar with its surroundings, and she was able to find its gate within a short time.
Michael opened the roller shutter for her but didn't close it. He guided her, walking straight to the deep inside of the warehouse later.
”Dad, it's so late now. Why are you still up?” Kylie tried to talk with him walking ahead, checking the warehouse to see whether there were new changes.
There were still some small containers and waste piled up in the corner. It was still in a mess as before.
Since they arranged the meeting at Ken's warehouse, why is Ken absent?
Did he go to deliver the goods for Michael?
Kylie's sight fell on Michael.
It seemed he wasn't going to rest but just went back from the outside. Although the upper sides of his shoes were clean, the soles were stained with cement, which only appeared at the entrance to the dock.
”I must deal with something first before I go to bed.” Michael smiled, then drew on a cigar.
”Have a smoke?” He handed the cigar to Kylie.
”Cigar? I don't like the taste.” Kylie shook her hand.
However, Michael didn't move but stared straight at Kylie with an evil smile on the face.
Kylie knew she couldn't reject it, so she took it, then dragged on it. She forced herself not to cough and pretended that she enjoyed it with smoke coming out of her mouth at a slow pace.
”Dad, you do know how to enjoy your life.” She raised her eyebrow, giving the cigar back to Michael.
Michael laughed out loud with satisfaction. He patted Kylie's shoulder. ”Good girl! Let's go!”
This time, Michael walked apparently faster. When they arrived at the front of a door, he kicked it open with great force.
All of a sudden, an acrid fishy smell flew out.
Kylie pinched her nose at once. ”What the hell! This place smells so terrible.”
Kylie looked over, following the direction Michael pointed at. There was something creeping at the corner, and the acrid smell exactly came out from it.
Kylie held her breath, walking forward for a few steps.
It trembled in fear, weeping, and trying to squeeze into the corner to hide itself.
After staring at it for a long time with full attention, Kylie finally recognized what it was.
The prostitute!
