He continued laughing, then faced me with a grin.

“The Fallen are those who fall. They were humans who opened their eyes and found themselves as monsters. In other words, they are like you.”

I didn’t think I was alone in this world, but it felt different to have your existence explained by your opponent. I felt like I was being hit hard by a sledgehammer.

Fallen… they even had a name for people like us.

My first thought was, Have I ever encountered a Fallen?

However, thinking about that now is unproductive. I should focus more on how to solve this situation.

How did he know I was a person? I would have asked him more, but his expression says he had no intention of explaining further.

Okay. He thought I was gone. He wouldn’t be able to find me.

I’ve played hide and seek with a troll with a strength incomparable to his.
