23 Chapter 23: Plans (1/2)

The general looked at their stern faces and gulped thinking about the battle.

Before the general could ask more about the plan, he heard the princess command, ”Inform the soldiers to be prepared for a battle anytime. Prepare the meeting and inform the generals. I will inform the king and queen before the meeting.”

Hazel dismissed the guard who bowed before he left.

Liz asked worriedly,” Do you think planning this competition was a good idea?”

”Yes and no. It would increase our manforce a little but it could also lead to more trouble. It is not like we planned for this to happen and let this issue make the ones responsible for the event, shudder.” Zeno responded indifferently.

” Exactly. They are just here at the wrong place at the right time.” Jinha winked at Hazel.

Hazel smiled, ”Right time for us. Wrong time for them. Well, anyway let's hurry and inform father before we decide the next course of action.”

Liz shook her head, ”I still don't understand why they would suddenly attack us. It seems like they are after something.”

Hazel narrowed her eyes,” That's something we can only know on the battlefield.”

As they hurriedly left the room, Jinha and the others knocked into Usui who was panting heavily.

Usui bent down, with his hands on his knees as he tried to catch his breath. He asked, ”Where's Freya? Isn't she with you guys?”

Jinha grinned as he asked, ”Woah... Woah.. why are you asking for my girl?”

Usui narrowed his eyes at him, as he tried to stop himself from throwing at him. He regretted his actions today as soon as he left her coldly. He went back to look for her but couldn't find her nor the dead bodies.

Jinha smiled at him, as he enjoyed provoking this so-called cold prince but then he heard the princess from behind,” Why are you guys gathering out here? I thought you guys....”

She didn't finish her words when she saw Usui staring at Jinha angrily.

She frowned seeing Usui's pale countenance, ”Are you alright? Why do you look so pale?”
