'Wait? All fine?!'

Usui's eyes widened in shock.

Stunned for a second, Usui immediately tried moving his body. He could feel his heart pump in excitement. Stumbling on his movements, he tried closing his eyes and absorb mana. When he felt his body experience the familiar sensation, he couldn't help but let his lips curl up in delight.

When was the last time he enjoyed this feeling? He couldn't help but laugh out as in elation.

Suddenly his smile froze and his eyes flew open when he felt the mana attack a barrier inside him. He couldn't control the mana in his shock as it continued to attack the barrier. Finally, the mana broke through and Usui was instantly levelled up but the mana didn't stop there as it continued to assemble inside his core.

Usui regained his focus as he tried to control the unruly mana. And, heaved a sigh when he barely managed to control it.

Usui panted slightly before his eyes meet with his brother's amazed eyes. Zelal couldn't believe his eyes, he felt like the entire world was laughing at him.

”Wait... Brother, Did you just broke through? Now? Wasn't it too fast?”

'I mean he just recovered for God's sake.'

Usui couldn't help but let out a chuckle. He couldn't understand why he broke through, he was sure his mana absorption level wasn't that great. He pondered over it but still couldn't come up with an excuse.

'Is it because my illness is cured?'

He was snapped out of his thoughts when he heard his brother exclaimed, ”Brother, You already reached -”

His words were stopped by a stern glance from Usui. Zelal swallowed the rest of his words which were at the tip of his tongue.

Usui paid no heed to him as he laid back down on his bed.

”I'm tired.”

Zelal huffed at him as he mumbled in low voice, ”What did that bird do to his brother? He just broke through right when he woke up and now my brother is going back to sleep.”

Usui turned his head swiftly, ”The Phoenix came to my room?”

Zelal nodded, ”It was close to midnight, he even asked me to get out.”

Usui's lips twitched as he asked, ”So you just followed his orders?”

Zelal rubbed his head as he chuckled, ”I wanted to check on someone so I took that chance. When I returned later, I found no one inside. That stupid phoenix, if he didn't want to stay until he returns, he should have told me that.”

Hearing the complaints, Usui understood where his sudden surge of energy came from. He pursed his lips as he realised he had to thank his rival.

Seeing his brother lost in thoughts, Zelal said, ”Just sleep for now. We will talk tomorrow.” and left the room quietly.

Usui threw away all the thoughts on the phoenix and thought about the woman who constantly occupied his mind. His lips curled up when he thought of her cute reaction.

”Ah!! When will she be mine?!”

Usui paused in his movements as he asked, ”It's stopped? But why?”

Zelal shrugged indicating he didn't know the reason.

”The notice was sent out by the king that they wouldn't want to continue it. They have compensated all the royals with some treasures.”

”So everyone left?”

Zelal nodded, ”We are the only ones left.”

Usui was dejected hearing this, so he mumbled a low okay. Then his ears perked up when he heard Zelal utter, ”And, we are summoned to our kingdom.”

”Summoned?”

Zelal nodded petulantly.
