Noticing her gaze, Usui glanced at her and knitted his brows when he saw her biting her lips. He blinked before he started walking towards her. He stopped in front of her and grasped her hand, holding it tightly.

Startled, Hazel looked into his golden-brown eyes and heard him ask, ”Do you remember my promise?”

Hazel frowned but immediately her face cleared up when she remembered his words early morning. She nodded slowly making Usui gently smile at her.

”Then don't worry and just believe in me, okay?”

Hazel pressed her lips into a thin line making Usui knit his brows. He waited for her to speak when he saw her looking around nervously.

He heard her utter in a low voice, ”Don't forget to take care of yourself too”

Her words surprised him that it took him a few seconds to understand that she was worried about him. He covered his mouth as he couldn't hide the huge grin on his face.

His eyes glistened as he asked, ”Are you worried about me?”

Hazel rolled her eyes and retorted, ”I don't want Queen Lily to be sad over her beloved son.”

His face crumpled at her denial and looked at her dejectedly. Hazel hid her smile upon seeing his face.

Even though she was worried about her family, she was worried about him too. She didn't want to think about what would happen if the demons attacked the castle. She didn't want him to be hurt or in danger.

She pursed her lips when she felt her heart fill in worry and anxiety. She didn't quite get why her heart was in tenterhooks just with the thought of him going away.

Did her heart really soften towards him as Jinha said?

She shook her head to thwart those thoughts when she noticed Usui staring at her. Her forehead creased when she observed him looking at her as if he was deciding on something.

She raised her eyebrows questioningly until she heard a clearing of a throat near her. She glanced at Jinha who was staring at her weirdly.

'What?'

Before she could ask Jinha, she heard Usui say, ”Hazel, I kind of wanted to ask you something before I leave.”

Hazel paused before looking at him and tilt her head.

He smiled at her as he stretched his hand and caught a strand of her hair which escaped from her hair tie.

”Well, this morning I had a good talk with someone.” He paused and looked at her emerald eyes which was still looking at him clueless. ”your boyfriend.”

Hazel froze, her eyes widened as she stared at him in shock. Feeling satisfied by her face, he grinned as he placed the strand behind her ear.

”But it seems like your boyfriend didn't know he was your boyfriend. How strange!”

He asked loudly attracting everyone's attention, ”Did you know your President had a boyfriend?”

Hazel bit her lip as she narrowed her eyes at Usui who was ignoring her.

”Oh... her boyfriend J-”

Usui was interrupted when Hazel pulled him away from the crowd. He staggered a little but didn't fall, he got his balance and followed her pace. He chuckled when he saw how red her cheeks were and how she was dragging him away from the crowd.

While back at the gates, Ren asked puzzled, ”When did our President get a boyfriend?”

Zelal raised his eyebrow and asked, ” So she doesn't have one?”

Zeno looked at him and shook his head, ”At least in our belief, she doesn't have one.”

Zelal laughed before looking at Stella, who was grinning widely. They were right!!

Then they looked at the direction the pair left and chuckled.

Ren frowned, ”I am going to ask Hazel.”

But before he could move, Jinha had his arm around him stopping him and said, ”She doesn't have one. Maybe the idiot prince had some misconceptions. Didn't they just leave to clarify? Let's just wait for them”

Ren looked at him strangely before nodding his head. Jinha sighed before glancing at the direction they went. He hoped Hazel would face this and not run away like before.

Hazel stopped when she realized no one followed them and pushed Usui to the wall without any warning.

Usui groaned, ”What are you planning?”

Hazel rolled her eyes and asked him straightforwardly, ”What are you doing?”

Usui straightened up and blinked innocently, ”What? I was just telling everyone how much love YOUR BOYFRIEND.”

Hazel narrowed her eyes at him angrily. Damn it, he is making fun of me now.
