Ye Tianyi switched on the lights and found Ye Xian’er recuperating with her eyes closed. There were bloodstains on her waist. She looked troubled, and her breathing was shallow. Ye Tianyi had mastered the Universal Sacred Art. Knowledge and memories since the beginning of time were stored in his brain. He could tell the severity of Ye Xian’er’s wounds with a single glance.
It was not fatal. In addition to the injury, there was a slight darkness between her brows. She was poisoned! Ye Tianyi studied the wounds. The bloodstains on her clothes were a mixture of red and black.
It was poison!
Ye Xian’er noticed some movement in the room so she slowly opened her beautiful eyes which revealed a hint of exhaustion.
“Why have you come back?” Ye Xian’er asked surprisingly.
“I didn’t say I wasn’t coming back.”
Ye Tianyi stood in front of her and looked at her.
In Ye Xian’er’s memory, whenever Ye Tianyi leaves the house in the evening, he wouldn’t be back that night. That was why she came home after being injured. She wouldn’t have come back otherwise.
“What’s wrong?” Ye Tianyi asked desperately.
“I was a little careless while in the demon beast domain and I got attacked by a demon beast.”
“Those are obviously sword wounds,” Ye Tianyi said.
Ye Xian’er glanced at him with surprise. Her wounds were covered in blood and were barely visible. How could he tell those were sword wounds? He should not have been able to as her clothes with the sword marks were gone.
Ye Tianyi said cheerfully, “From the bloodstains on your clothes, it looks like your blood flowed slowly, instead of bursting from your veins. It must’ve been a higher level demon beast, one that could hurt you as they usually have sharp claws that are capable of serious damage to us. Thus, these are either sword wounds or knife wounds. Who did this?”
Ye Tianyi may have looked calm, but he was suppressing his anger.
“It’s none of your business. Leave it to me.”
“I’m not going to do anything. I’m just a scumbag. I won’t be able to beat him anyway, so tell me who it is and I’ll sleep with his wife.”
Ye Xian’er, “…”
“Is it the Yang family?”
“Stop guessing. Get some rest,” Ye Xian’er said faintly.
“Let me help you heal.”
“It’s just some minor scratches. They’ll heal in two days.”
Ye Tianyi walked to her and held Ye Xian’er’s slender hand. She pulled back, but Ye Tianyi was strong. He gripped her wrist.
Ye Xian’er was shocked as he was taking her pulse. Did he even have any medical knowledge?
Ye Tianyi sighed with relief.
“Thankfully, the toxin level isn’t that high.”
Ye Tianyi touched some of Ye Xian’er’s blood with his finger and took a whiff. He frowned.
“Jimson Weed.”
Ye Xian’er looked at Ye Tianyi, astonished.
She did not know what kind of poison it was, but Ye Tianyi was able to tell that she was poisoned just by taking her pulse?
“When did you study medicine?” Ye Xian’er questioned.
“What? Medicine?”
Ye Tianyi scratched his head, smiled, and said, “I was only pretending.”
