Ava leaped off Theo's shoulder and hid behind the dirt wall while Theo summoned his clone and headed straight to one of them as well.

He didn't hide like Ava. Instead, he waved his spear from the side and cut the illusion along with the monster behind it.

Since the monster was quite powerful, he needed to attack the monster with his clone together to kill it.
