Chapter 38 - Whats Your Name? (1/2)
Zail chuckled as he saw this amusing reaction from Hecathe, ”Sir, there's nothing to be afraid of.”
Hecathe took a sharp breath in as he looked at the face of the woman who was hardly visible due to the darkness of this place.
At this moment, she really did look like a ghost and no matter how unafraid Hecathe was of ghosts, he still couldn't help but feel a shiver go down his spine as he felt a little creeped out.
”Who's this?” The woman asked as she kept her eyes glued to Hecathe.
Hecathe gulped as he took another step back.
”Ah! Aunt, this is the new tenant I kidnapped from the restaurant!” Zail exclaimed.
”Hmm?” The woman got down from the ceiling, ”Is that so? Good job.”
”No problem at all!” Zail beamed and even in the dark corridor, Hecathe could feel that the man's face was shining with the brightness of a thousand stars after hearing this woman compliment him like that.
”What's your name?” At one moment the woman was a few meters away but in the blink of an eye, her face was just a few inches away from Hecathe's face as she questioned.
Hecathe gulped as he once again almost had a mini heart attack. He immediately faltered a few steps back as he unconsciously raised his hand in front of him, threatening to be ready for a fight.
”What the hell...?!” Hecathe muttered as he wondered if his eyes were playing tricks on him.
”Hmm? Such an impolite person. Why do you keep staring at my legs? I'm five times your age, young man! Don't try to flirt with me!” The woman scolded him and Hecathe's eyes widened as he panicked.
”That's not it!” He exclaimed in hurry and the woman chuckled.
”Zail, why aren't you turning on the lights here? We have a guest, can't you see? Be more hospitable.” The woman turned to Zail and scolded him as well but the man's reaction was much calmer than Hecathe's reaction.
Zail walked away and Hecathe stood there awkwardly with his eyes on the woman who had a really weird silhouette.
He dare not believe that his eyes weren't playing tricks on him.
When the lights finally turned on, Hecathe felt his whole body freeze as he concluded that it really was not the fault of his eyes.
This woman... She really had eight spider-like legs...
If the lower part of her body were to be ignored, she would look to be rather normal and Hecathe would even be kind enough to call her a pretty middle-aged lady, but with eight legs, it was quite hard for someone to take their eyes off of her legs.
”What are you?” Hecathe questioned cautiously as his body tensed up.
The woman chuckled as she heard this question.
”Why don't we sit down and talk, Sir whose name I do not know?” The woman suggested.
Hecathe was a bit shocked and cautious but he still nodded his head as he agreed.
After being transmigrated into another parallel world, nothing shocked or scared Hecathe for more than just a few minutes.
