Chapter 49 - Introductions. (1/2)
”Let me start!~” The thin pale girl who couldn't stop clinging to the shirtless guy exclaimed cheerfully with a big smile on her face, ”My name is Lele and I have been a hunter for the last two years. I don't have much experience with catching mutants so I hope you guys can help me out if needed!~”
Hecathe's eyes twitched as he heard her talking in a pitch that was a bit too high and annoying.
The mage who was in charge clicked her tongue as she heard the girl's introduction, ”Nobody is going to look after you or help you. If you've been a hunter for the past two years then you should naturally have enough experience and if you don't trust your skills enough then you shouldn't be here in the first place.”
Hecathe gulped as he found Kelly to be more interesting. She was clearly not the type to beat around the bush as she snapped and informed Lele exactly what her current situation was.
The girl called Lele gasped and looked to be offended but not as much as the shirtless guy who glared at Kelly and immediately shouted, ”How can you talk to her like that?!”
”...”
Hecathe was speechless as he saw the man's angry reaction.
Kelly rolled her eyes as she ignored him and spoke, ”It's your turn now. Please give us your name.”
”This is Haze, he's my boyfriend!~” Lele answered for him as she beamed.
Kelly nodded her head as she didn't bother with the two anymore and turned to look at the other hunter who was dressed the same as Hecathe, ”You?”
The man smiled as he kneeled down on his one knee and over exaggeratedly raised his right hand to touch his chest with his head bowed down in a respectful manner as he introduced himself, ”You can call me Raven.”
Hecathe was even more baffled as he saw this kind of introduction.
Young man... Is this a movie?
Are you a prince proposing to your lucky cinderella?!
Kelly didn't look to be as shocked as Hecathe as she simply nodded her head and turned to face Hecathe, ”And your name?”
”It's Hecathe,” Hecathe coughed as he casually gave his name.
Raven stood up and straightened his back as he stared at Hecathe without saying anything.
”Great!” Kelly exclaimed as she wrote something down on the book that she held, ”Lele, Haze, Raven, and Hecathe. We would have to be working together if we want to come out of there alive. For that short while, I hope you guys can remember each other's name and try to get along.”
Hecathe and Raven nodded their heads in unison as they heard her while the annoying couple kept whispering something to each other as they ignored Kelly.
Hecathe couldn't help but feel displeased already as he saw these ignorant brats and even though he didn't know them well enough, from what he had seen till now, he could clearly say that he would not be getting along with them.
”Miss Kelly, would it be rude for me to ask what class of mage you belong to?” It was Raven who questioned politely as he looked at the woman.
