Chapter 92 - Who The Hell Are You?! (1/2)

”I thought we are all here for the gambling,” Hecathe spoke with a smirk as he looked straight at the young man who looked to be surprised and a bit afraid of this man dressed as a hunter.

”Who the hell are you?” The young man frowned as he questioned without bothering to be polite.

”Me?” Hecathe chuckled as he shrugged his shoulder, ”I'm just someone visiting.”

The young man didn't look to have believed it but he didn't say or ask anything more.

”So place the last card,” Hecathe instructed as his eyes narrowed down on the young man.

With just the piercing glare that Hecathe was giving him, it could be clear that Hecathe wasn't too impressed or pleased with this young man and his lovely discussion about Alphius.

”He's right,” One of the older two men, who was playing, chuckled as he spoke up, ”Get this over with. Why are you dragging this on?”

The young man gulped as he heard this and didn't bother thinking about anything as he threw his card on the table, showing it to everyone with much confidence as if he was sure that he was going to win.

”There ya go,” The young man glared at Hecathe with a small scowl on his face, ”Are ya happy now?”

Hecathe could sense that the man was angry at him since the young man's accent suddenly started becoming more prominent and he started sounding just like that old lady.

The two older men laughed as they saw the young man's card and placed their own cards on the table.

One of them commented, ”I guess your luck ran out, kid.”

The young man was stunned speechless for a few seconds as he looked at the other two cards that were 2 of spades and 2 of clubs respectively.

His eyes glanced down towards his own card that was 3 of hearts.

”Now let me take a good look at that ring you got me,” The other man picked up the ring from the table and wore it on his finger as he laughed.

”Wait... This is impossible!” The young man exclaimed as he slammed his hand on the table, ”I already placed a 2 of spades before this! How can there be two cards of the same type in a deck?!”

”Eh?” The other guy tilted his head as he looked at the young man and asked cluelessly, ”When did you place a 2 of spades? Are you trying to call us cheaters by lying?”

The young man gritted his teeth in anger as he heard this and his hand reached out for the deck that was kept on the table. All the cards that had been placed forward were kept in this deck and he was sure that the deck hadn't been tampered with so he believed that he would be able to find the 2 of spades that he had previously placed.

The two men laughed together as they saw this young man shuffling through the deck anxiously.

”Didn't I already tell you, boy? The mistress of luck doesn't have a loyal heart. Today was just not your day.”

The young man went through the deck for the third time but was still unable to find the 2 of spades that he had previously placed and this made him clench his fist.

”You cheating old piece of sh*ts!”

”Now, why are you calling us names when you were the one that lost the gamble? Didn't you already know that you would have to lose if you played?”

The young man was pretty angry as he heard the old man and in a fit of rage, he grabbed the collar of one of the men and looked to be ready to start a fight, however, at this moment, Hecathe kicked the young man and interrupted the fight before it even started.

”Move your butt,” Hecathe spoke as he met the man's glaring eyes, ”You played and you lost. Now don't be a loser and get your ass out of here. Can't you see that there are people waiting for the next round?”

”...”

The young man surely didn't look to be too happy after getting kicked by Hecathe and when he heard the man saying this, he let go of the old man's collar and stepped closer to Hecathe as if trying to intimidate the man.

”Who the f*ck are you...?!” The young man pushed Hecathe's shoulder back as he questioned, clearly looking for a fight.
