Chapter 109 - A Good Morning...? (1/2)
Hecathe opened his eyes and the first thing he saw was the face of LeiLei who was a bit too close to him.
Hecathe blinked in confusion as he wondered if he was seeing things, however, he soon figured out that the girl was really there staring at him with big bright shining eyes.
”What are you doing...?” Hecathe asked as he yawned and tried to get up.
”Sir, you're handsome...” LeiLei commented as a response and for some reason, refused to look away from Hecathe.
”...”
Hecathe didn't know if he wanted to laugh or cry as he heard this.
He wouldn't have taken off the mask if he knew the girl was going to wake up before him.
It was uncomfortable sleeping with a mask on and that was the only reason why Hecathe took it off.
”So...?” Hecathe frowned a little as he sat up straight.
”I thought you weren't going to be handsome...” The girl spoke with a pout.
”...”
”Master, is it a good thing to be handsome?” The Dorgon asked as he looked at Hecathe's face closely.
Hecathe pursed his lips into a thin smile as he heard this question and decided not to answer it.
”Why did you wake up so early?” Hecathe asked the girl as he stretched his neck and shoulders.
Hecathe hadn't expected it, but turns out sleeping on the floor was way more uncomfortable than he thought it would be.
”I am used to sleeping on the floor so I couldn't sleep on the bed,” LeiLei smiled as she replied, and at first, Hecathe didn't find anything weird about it, however, a minute passed and Hecathe slowly frowned as he repeated her words in his head.
”Did you stay up the entire night?” Hecathe questioned with a frown.
LeiLei nodded her head without any hesitation and Hecathe was left a little speechless.
”Master, this witch was staring at you like a hawk,” The Dorgon informed with a scoff and it seemed that he still didn't like LeiLei.
”I woke up when you picked me up and took me to the bed,” LeiLei beamed, ”At first I thought you were going to take advantage of me but I was wrong. You're a good person, Sir.”
Hecathe didn't know if he wanted to laugh or cry as he heard this, ”...”
Just what type of guy did she think he was...?!
”Master, I also thought she was going to take advantage of you when you slept,” The Dorgon clicked his tongue as he commented.
”In any case, I have decided!” The girl suddenly exclaimed with a bright smile, ”I don't care who it is that you want to catch but I'm going to help you!”
Hecathe's eyes widened ever so slightly as he heard this.
He had really wasted a lot of time on planning and thinking about how to make the girl trust him, but it seemed that he had thought a bit too much about it and wasted his time in the process.
This girl ended up trusting him after just a night...?!
It was a bit unbelievable!
”Didn't you already decide to work for me?” Hecathe asked as he tilted his head.
The girl nodded her head and chuckled as she responded, ”I did plan on working for you but now I have planned to work with you.”
”What's the difference?” Hecathe asked, looking to be a bit confused.
”If I'm working for you then it means I don't trust you enough and if I'm working with you, it means I trust you to have my back as well.”
Hecathe was still a little confused as he heard this but he simply waited to hear her continue and didn't bother speaking in between.
”In the first case, I may even end up betraying you or abandoning you but in the latter case, you do not have to worry about that. You can trust me and I can also trust you, it's that kind of a difference,” LeiLei explained with a smile as she asked, ”Isn't it better this way?”
Hecathe thought about it for a minute and nodded his head as he simply agreed to the girl.
LeiLei looked to be happy as she saw this reaction and the girl immediately stood up as she spoke, ”Then I'll be going down to help with the breakfast. You should come down after you take care of that.”
”Eh?”
The girl pointed down at Hecathe with a smile and didn't bother saying more as she left the room and when Hecathe looked down to see the morning wood that had caused a tent in his pants.
”...”
For the first time in his life, he understood what it was like to be embarrassed.
Hecathe had forgotten how much it sucked to have a teenage body...!
