Chapter 123 - Not A Bipolar Personality Disorder. (1/2)

LeiLei didn't bother waiting for an answer from Marvin as she looked back at Hecathe and beamed, ”Sir, Raven said that I'll be able to join the guild after a small test!~”

Hecathe blinked in surprise as he saw such a delighted expression on her face.

He wondered if this girl even knew what that so-called 'little test' meant.

”I'll try my best to pass it! I won't let you down!” The girl exclaimed with a wide smile on her face and Hecathe couldn't help but get the feeling that he had newly adopted this girl or something.

The way she spoke and reacted... It really made him feel as if he was now raising her as a father.

Marvin chuckled as he heard the girl and raised his hand to pat her head but was immediately stopped by Hecathe who lightly glared at the boy.

LeiLei seemed to have seen this and she seemed to have found it a bit amusing as she chuckled and stuck out her tongue at Marvin, ”Only Sir Hecathe can pat my head like that. He's protective over me and you're not allowed.”

”...” Marvin felt a little speechless as he heard this and tilted his head as he looked at Hecathe for an explanation.

Hecathe coughed as he retreated his hand and let go of Marvin's wrist, ”If you pat her too much, she might remain short forever.”

Now, Marvin and LeiLei both looked to be speechless and LeiLei didn't know if she was supposed to laugh or cry at this comment that was indirectly calling her short.

”She's a growing teenager,” Hecathe shrugged his shoulder as he added.

”Sir, I stopped growing two years ago,” LeiLei immediately responded as she informed.

”Maybe that's because your head got patted a lot,” Hecathe coughed as he replied.

”Do I look like a freaking drum to you...?!” LeiLei questioned, sounding a bit offended and it seemed that for a split second there, the girl had forgotten to keep up her sweet and innocent act.

Hecathe hoped that Marvin hadn't noticed it but it seemed that he was not going to be getting what he hoped for.

”Interesting...” Marvin muttered to himself as his eyes narrowed down on LeiLei and his lips curled up in a small smirk.

LeiLei gulped as she realized that she had forgotten to act for a second there and the girl looked to be shocked with herself, wondering why she felt comfortable enough to let go of that innocent act.

Hecathe clicked his tongue as he decided to save the situation by changing topics, ”You have a test to get to, don't you? You should go fast or you might get demerits for being late.”

LeiLei's eyes immediately widened as she heard this, ”That's right. I have to go now! Sir, I'll see you back home!”

Hecathe opened his mouth to correct her and tell her that it wasn't his home but just an apartment he was renting currently, but before any words could roll out of his tongue, he saw the girl running away, heading deeper into the corridor.

Hecathe, ”...”

Marvin chuckled as he questioned suddenly, ”You know?”

Hecathe side-glanced at the boy and decided to act a little oblivious as he asked, ”What are you talking about?”

”She has a bipolar personality disorder, doesn't she?”

Hecathe didn't know if he was supposed to laugh or cry as he heard this.

It seemed that Marvin was a bit mistaken about the details but it wasn't like Hecathe was going to clarify that misunderstanding.

Hecathe nodded his head and sighed but didn't bother saying anything as a response.

The girl didn't really have a bipolar personality disorder. She simply liked to act as if she was an entirely different person and that was something that she was choosing to do and hence, she was conscious of her actions that were not considered to be caused by a disorder.

”What a pitiful young girl,” Marvin commented with a sigh, ”She doesn't even know the way but she still ran.”

Hecathe clicked his tongue as he heard this and it was only now that he had realized this fact.

In a state of panic, LeiLei had run away but she didn't even know where she had to go!

”Go after her,” Hecathe immediately instructed and Marvin chuckled.

”I was already planning to,” Marvin responded with a smirk and didn't bother wasting any more words as he ran, heading in the same direction as the girl.
