Chapter 141 - The Unexpected Fight. (1/2)
The more Hecathe spent time in this world, the more he came to realize that Alphius was truly a boy blessed by the heavens. His abilities were all rare and useful. If he hadn't been so hated by the people then he would have most certainly become another willow of spring and if not then maybe he would have been able to bring this world together just to rule them all with a better working government system.
”LeiLei, are you there?” Hecathe raised his wrist as he sent the girl a message.
It took LeiLei a few minutes to respond and when she did, Hecathe could clearly understand why her response was a bit delayed.
At first, only breathing and struggling sounds could be heard that made Hecathe frown as he had a bad feeling in his stomach.
”Sir!” LeiLei's panicked voice came soon after and Hecathe's eyebrows creased together with a bit of worry, ”The mecha-suit is trying to kill us!”
Hecathe didn't know if he wanted to laugh or cry as he heard gunshots firing in the background along with the sound of a saber clashing with something metallic.
The message cut off abruptly and if it were someone else who had heard this message they would have most certainly thought that LeiLei was telling the truth, however, Hecathe knew better than that.
Judging from the sound of the gunshot firing in the background, it could be sensed that they were really fighting the mecha-suit, but at the same time, Hecathe could also tell that the girl was lying about the mecha-suit being the one that had tried to kill them first.
The mecha-suits were surely violent but they would certainly not try to kill a person if the person didn't do anything against them.
The same could also be said about the mecha-suit that Hecathe had met just now.
Although the man shot Hecathe, he still didn't try to kill Hecathe although he had a very good chance to do it. He had even raised his gun but it was always aimed at Hecathe's arm and not at his heart or head.
This was also the reason why Hecathe had wasted so much time in arguing with the mecha-suit. He already knew that the man was not going to kill him even if he really did shoot.
Hecathe had also been smart enough to not follow after the mecha-suit because if he had gone looking for a fight then the mecha-suit would have also not held back and would have actively tried to kill him.
If the mecha-suit that the other two had met was trying to kill them then Hecathe was sure that Marvin and LeiLei had fought back and resisted.
”LeiLei, Get me there,” Hecathe spoke with a sigh as he sent the girl a message.
It would take him some time before he got to the others so the quickest and easiest way was to ask LeiLei for help. With the girl's ability, Hecathe could easily get there and provide them aid in just a few seconds.
The girl didn't send a response this time and instead, she straightaway teleported Hecathe to the place where Marvin and LeiLei were fighting the mecha-suit.
In just a few seconds, Hecathe was already at a place that looked like a battlefield. If there was anything missing from this battlefield then it would probably be an army.
”What the hell...?!” Hecathe muttered in disbelief with a frown on his face as he saw the fight.
LeiLei was hiding behind a wall and Hecathe was right next to her as the two looked at Marvin and the mecha-suit who were battling it out for their life.
”Sir, should I just swap out the mecha-suit's heart with a stone?” LeiLei questioned as she looked at Hecathe and Hecathe was a bit stunned and confused as he heard this question.
”You can do something like that?” Hecathe blinked as he questioned, not being able to believe it easily.
LeiLei nodded her head as she gulped, ”I can.”
Hecathe's eyes widened slightly and he was a bit speechless as he felt that this girl was a lot more powerful than what he had originally imagined her to be.
With a power like that... She could even kill the three willows of spring with utmost ease and that was something that even Alphius would not be able to do even with the support of all the rare abilities he had.
”Should I?” LeiLei asked as she blinked and waited for Hecathe's orders.
”It's better not to,” Hecathe shook his head with a sigh, ”Killing a single mecha-suit would be like inviting a war against them all and that is not something that we want to do.”
LeiLei pouted her lips as she heard this and clearly didn't look happy, however, the girl nodded her head in understanding as she felt that Hecathe made sense.
