Chapter 145 - Violence Leads To Nothing (1/2)
Hecathe finally learned what it was like to be punched by a mecha-suit and the feeling was certainly not pleasant.
When Hecathe touched his cheek, he felt a sting of pain as the numbness slowly started to fade away and by the time that he had removed his hand, he could see blood covering his fingertips that had come in contact with his cheek.
”...”
The punch was strong enough to draw blood and that in itself was shocking to Hecathe who found it hard to believe that he was still alive after that punch.
Alphius surely had amazing regeneration abilities cause if not then Hecathe would have really entered the afterlife today.
”Sir, are you okay?” LeiLei asked as she gulped and looked at the man in worry.
Hecathe pushed himself off the ground as he stood up on his legs, but the mecha-suit was much faster than him.
Right after he had punched Hecathe, the mecha-suit stood up and looked down at Hecathe with a scowl.
”Brother, violence leads to nothing,” Hecathe sighed as he wiped the blood off his face and smiled a little.
”Then let this lead you to death,” The mecha-suit raised his fist as he came running towards Hecathe, threatening to throw another punch at the man.
This time, however, Hecathe was not unprepared and hence, he had enough time to defend himself.
He moved back just a step and tilted his body towards the right side as he avoided the punch before he grabbed the mecha suit's arm and twisted it. Since, the man's arm was protected by the metallic gears, Hecathe did no real damage by twisting it and so, he acted quickly on his thoughts and pulled the hand forward.
Hecathe stuck out his foot in front of the mecha-suit so that when he was pulled forward, he would trip and fall to the ground once again.
For the most part of it, It looked liked Hecathe was the one in control.
He didn't even need to use his abilities in order to fight the mecha-suit.
However, this winning only lasted for a short while.
There was a reason why mecha-suits were so famous and if they were this easy to beat then they would certainly not have such an infamous reputation attached to them.
The mecha suit was pulled forward, but unfortunately enough for Hecathe, he didn't trip and fall like what Hecathe had planned. Instead, the mecha suit took the chance to attack Hecathe as he spun and threw a back-kick at Hecathe.
Hecathe's eyes widened almost immediately as he saw the metallic leg coming towards him and at the very last second possible, Hecathe stepped back on instinct as he avoided the kick.
There was an adrenaline rush inside Hecathe's body which made him feel hot and his heart started beating a bit faster as cold sweat trailed down his forehead.
LeiLei and Marvin took a step back as they watched the fight and the two clearly looked as if they wanted to help Hecathe, but at the same time, it could also be sensed that although they wanted to help the man, they also dare not interrupt this fight.
Hecathe cursed under his breath as he saw another punch being thrown at him and this time, he was unable to avoid it since he didn't have a strong balance. His feet were unstable after avoiding that kick and it seemed that the mecha-suit had already guessed that something like this would happen and this was the reason why he used the opportunity within just a second.
Hecathe was thrown back by the punch and flew a few metres before hitting his back against a wall that instantly broke upon impact.
Hecathe's body fell down limply and the crumbled bricks from the wall started falling over him, but thankfully enough, LeiLei reacted soon enough and teleported all the bricks on top of the mecha-suit and the girl not only saved Hecathe by doing this but she also used the opportunity to attack the mecha-suit.
Since the helmet of the mecha-suit man had already been taken off, there was nothing protecting his head.
The mecha-suit felt the first piece of brick hitting his head and he immediately raised his hand to cover himself.
This was a great opening that could be used in order to attack the mecha-suit, however, Hecathe was also down at the moment so he couldn't take this chance.
Marvin chuckled dryly as he calmly walked over towards Hecathe and stretched his hand forward as if he was trying to help the man, ”Brother Hecathe, do you need a hand? Two is always better than one.”
