Chapter 166 - Wasnt That Just A Hoax? (1/2)

”That's good to hear. Now, Xanie, I want you to listen closely to what I have to say. This is important,” Hecathe gulped as he spoke with a serious tone.

”What is it, Captain?” Xanie asked and worry in her tone could be clearly sensed.

”Orgon is still alive.”

”What?!” Xanie's shocked response came soon enough.

”You must have heard about the rumors as well, right? That Orgon is currently in the body of a young man?” Hecathe asked with a small frown that Xanie could naturally not see.

”Captain, wasn't that just a hoax?” Xanie asked with great interest and disbelief.

”I saw him,” Hecathe sighed as he lied without any guilt, ”He came to the illegal auction house.”

”...” The girl was left a little speechless as she heard this but Hecathe didn't mind this wordless response as he continued.

”The three willows of spring seem to be somehow connected to him,” Hecathe added and this was yet another lie, ”They fabricated his death and framed it on me because they wanted to take Ocasia.”

”What the...?” The girl could not understand what Hecathe was saying and even if she did, she found it a bit hard to believe. As Hecathe heard this response from her, he could almost imagine the girl frowning with her eyebrows creased together in worry and confusion.

”That's right, everything that happened till now has all been an act,” Hecathe spoke as he continued, ”The three willows of spring are trying to take control of this place and they plan to do it through Orgon.”

”Captain... There's no way those three cowards would try something like that...? If they do something like that, they would be inviting a war,” Xanie spoke in an almost muttering manner as if she was trying to convince herself that Hecathe was perhaps mistaken somehow.

Hecathe smirked as he heard this question and responded without missing a beat, ”That's why they tried to get me out of the way. If I'm no longer there, who would be controlling the mecha-suits?”

”...” Xanie was even more shocked as she heard this and when she thought about it a bit, the girl could feel that Hecathe's words made sense.

”It was all planned beforehand. They are trying to put an end to the mecha-suits once and for all,” Hecathe spoke with a sigh.

”Captain... Where are you right now?” Xanie asked and Hecathe could clearly tell that the girl was really worried for his wellbeing.

”I'm in Zeblor,” Hecathe lied yet again, ”They know it too and it's only a matter of time before they capture me.”

”Captain, get out of there immediately! How can you be so careless?!” The girl scolded the man as she spoke angrily, ”Didn't you go to Ocasia to enjoy your freedom?! Why would you go to Zeblor?”

Hecathe chuckled softly as he heard the girl, ”Xanie, they are after me. It doesn't matter if I'm in Ocasia or Zeblor. They won't be letting me go that easily. As long as I'm alive, I'll be a threat to them and a threat always needs to be removed.”

Xanie was silent for a few minutes before she sent a response, ”Then you shouldn't have left on your own. You didn't even taken your mecha-suit with you. How are you going to defend yourself?!”

Hecathe didn't know if he wanted to laugh or cry as he heard this. He was sure that Xanie had trust in his abilities but at the same time, it was clear that the girl didn't know just how powerful Alphius's ability was and hence, she naturally thought that the three willows of spring were stronger than him.

”Xanie, this is not why I contacted you today,” Hecathe sighed as he spoke, ”I contacted you because I might need your help.”

”What can I do?” Xanie asked and patiently waited for Hecathe to speak.

”Orgon has bought the illegal auction in Ocasia and by next week, he'll be taking over the city. The three willows of spring know that I'm in Zeblor but they are trying to keep it a secret. By next week, I am sure that I will get caught and if I get caught, another trial is going to take place. If there is another trial then I might not be able to make it so we need to do everything we can in order to prevent it.”

Xanie's eyebrows forrowed together as she heard this but she said nothing as she waited for Hecathe to complete.

”I want an army of mecha-suits to be sent to Zeblor. Next week on Friday,” Hecathe ordered and the girl listened carefully to him, ”Send all the generals and their soldiers. If they ask for a war then we give them a war.”

”You want them all to come...?” Xanie asked, feeling a little complicated about this.

”Xanie, do you like it when I repeat myself?” Hecathe asked sarcastically, ”I want them to be there. All of them.”

Xanie gulped as she heard this and nodded her head before she asked, ”Then I guess you would also need your mecha-suit?”

”Send it over just in case,” Hecathe responded with a small chuckle.

”Got it, Captain,” Xanie responded almost immediately.
