Chapter 168 - Because Its You (1/2)

”Eh?” The Dorgon was a little confused to hear this, but he wasn't stupid and so, he asked, ”Master, what the hell did you get yourself into this time?!”

Hecathe couldn't help but chuckle as he heard this.

”What makes you think I'm in trouble?” Hecathe asked.

”Because it's you,” The Dorgon replied without even needing to think about it.

Hecathe pursed his lips into a thin smile but said nothing to defend himself since there was simply nothing that he could say as a defense. For some reason, it seemed like Hecathe really was getting himself in trouble every now and then.

Hecathe pulled the scruff of the Dorgon and the Dorgon immediately got the cue and took up a bit of speed.

He was clearly flying faster than an airplane but Hecathe was still not satisfied with it.

”Just how much faster do you want this emperor to go?!” The Dorgon questioned as he clicked his tongue in annoyance.

”Fast enough to disappear,” Hecathe answered as he pulled the Dorgon's scruff once again.

The Dorgon seemed to be a bit surprised as he heard this answer but although unwilling, he still increased the speed and flew even higher.

Hecathe was now controlling the Dorgon not through words but through his actions.

Pulling the Dorgon's scruff meant an increase in speed while pushing it down would mean a decrease in speed.

A single tap on the back of the neck would mean higher and a double-tap would mean lower.

Tapping the Dorgon with his right foot meant to go right while tapping the left side of the Dorgon with his left foot meant going left.

The Dorgon was not an idiot and was pretty easy to train compared to other animals. Hence, with just a single explanation and a few rounds of practice, the Dorgon was already well-versed in it and would unconsciously respond to these set signals.

Hecathe, on the other hand, was not that quick to catch on and although he was the one who made these signals in the first place itself, he was also the one who kept mixing the up and down signals.

But eventually, he managed to get it and they practiced for at least another hour.

”Master, you better get me some good meat after this. Don't keep feeding me those tasteless chickens,” The Dorgon spoke and Hecathe chuckled as he nodded his head and agreed.

This Dorgon had never been to the open sky before this. He had been born in Hecathe's room and had never left that place so it was truly a bit surprising to see him be so good at flying.

Before they started this practice session, Hecathe was sure that he would need to teach the Dorgon how to fly first, however, thankfully enough, such a situation never arose.

The moment the Dorgon opened his enormous wings, it was already clear that this creature was much more amazing than Hecathe had ever imagined.

It took three months for a Dorgon to reach its adult size and it had been only two months since Hecathe had got this Dorgon so Hecathe knew that although the Dorgon was big currently, he was going to get even bigger in the future.

Even with the Dorgon's current size, Hecathe was left to wonder how this creature managed to hide away inside his room that was comparatively small.

There was a time when this creature was only as big as a full-grown dog and now he was as big as an adult elephant.

In fact, the Dorgon was not exactly as big or heavy as an adult elephant. It was the wings that gave such an illusion. Each of his wings was double the size of his body and since they were always folded when the Dorgon was inside Hecathe's room, Hecathe had never realized just how big these wings were.

Now that the wings were opened fully, they looked enormous and majestic, truly making one feel intimidated by just the aura that was created around the Dorgon. Hecathe could finally understand why Dorgon's were considered the ultimate rulers of all.

However, although Hecathe was surprised and fascinated by the wings and the creature's ability to fly without any lessons, he still didn't bother complimenting the Dorgon openly.

”Master, we are now flying over Zeblor,” The Dorgon informed and Hecathe immediately glanced down only to see the clouds blocking his view.

Hecathe double-tapped on the back of the Dorgon's head and the creature immediately went a bit down, just enough to peek through the clouds.

Hecathe's eyebrows creased together as he looked at Zeblor.

Compared to its neighboring Ocasia, Zeblor was lacking a bit too much.
