Chapter 203 - The Origin Of The Orgons (1/2)

”There is no evidence to prove that Dorgon's can be controlled by men but that is not because there had been no one who could control it,” Lara smirked as she spoke, ”It is simply because of the lack of evidence. In reality, there have been accounts of Dorgon's being controlled by humans.”

Hecathe gulped as he heard this and his eyebrows drew closer together as he felt a little shocked and lost.

”It's just that there is only one family that is said to have such an amazing gift,” Lara sighed out, ”And that family has been purposefully keeping it as a secret.”

Hecathe's eyes slowly widened with realization and before he could ask anything, Lara clarified his doubts.

”You're right. The Family of Orgons. They come from an imperial lineage of the old rulers. Their celestial light ability made people consider them as a king who rules the world. Even Dorgons would readily listen to their commands.”

Hecathe gulped as he heard this and his eyes widened even more as he suddenly remembered something that Marvin had once told him.

”How can that be...?” Hecathe muttered in disbelief, ”There must be a mistake! If they could control Dorgons then why would Edler... Die?”

As Hecathe spelled out the question, he finally found another truth that he wished he didn't know.

Marvin had told him that his father always felt guilty for the death of the great Edler, however, Hecathe simply reassured the boy that it was probably not his father's fault since Dorgons had always been such vicious creatures that could not be stopped. In fact, when he had said that, he was sure Marvin's father couldn't have done anything to save the great Edler even if he had tried to.

However, now that this new piece of information was revealed, Hecathe finally understood why that man felt guilty and he also understood what Marvin seemed to have been hiding from him.

”How does it feel to know that you are trying to avenge the murder of a man who killed the great Edler?” Lara chuckled as she mockingly asked, ”And that too, while inside Alphius' body...?”

Hecathe gulped as he heard this but said nothing.

”I am not your enemy,” Lara added with a wicked smile, ”If anything, you should be thanking me for showing you the right way.”

Hecathe held his head down as he heard this and Lara thought her method of emotionally manipulating the man was working, however, at the very next moment, Hecathe's shoulders began shaking and he broke out laughing.

”Huh...?” Lara's eyebrows creased together and she took a step back as she saw such a reaction that almost made it seem as if the man had gone completely crazy.

”You seem to have a lot of nonsense to spout,” Hecathe scoffed, ”But tell me why I should trust anything you say.”

Lara frowned as she heard this.

”It won't even be the first time that you'd be lying.”

”Hecathe...” This time, it was not Alora that spoke up. Instead, it was LeiLei, ”I never lied to you about anything.”

Hecathe stopped laughing and felt a bitter taste in his mouth as he heard these shameless words.

”You never lied?” Hecathe's eyes twitched as he clicked his tongue, ”Why don't you go and tell that to someone who is actually dumb enough to believe you.”

”She's not lying, Hecathe.” Lara chuckled as she spoke up in defense, ”We had always treated you sincerely. There might have been a few things that we hid from you but except for that, everything we said was indeed the truth.”

Hecathe frowned as he heard this and pointed out, ”Then I supposed it wasn't a lie when you claimed yourself as the daughter of Dorka's brother.”

”Of course not,” Lara tilted her head and stated without any hesitation.

”But you see, that man only had a single child so how can there be two of you?” Hecathe pointed at the two accusingly as he spoke.

Lara chuckled as she heard this and LeiLei sighed.
