28 Armor of Ice Cavern (1/2)

The Xia Clan could be considered as a small clan compared to the clans that ruled over kingdoms. But truth be told. The size of the land that the Xia Clan covered was at the size of a small city. The City of Frost that the Xia Clan governed housed hundreds of thousands of commoners along with rogue cultivators that made up the economy of the Ciity.

Exiting at the Southern Gate. Jiang Tian saw innumerable house built with bricks and fortified with formations so that it could withstand the cold winter storms that frequently descended from the mountains where the Xia Clan was formally located.

At the base of the mountain was the City of Frost, the place where Jiang Tian intend on going. Mixing with the bustling crowd of commoners and cultivators. Jiang Tian could hear rowdy shouts that constantly filled the air.

The Commoners sold items for commoners while cultivator sold items for cultivators. Despite the difference in strength, the Xia Clan's superior governance made sure that commoners and cultivators could live together in harmony.

As far as his eye could see, Jiang Tian saw similar smiles of satisfaction and enjoyment on the faces of everyone may they be cultivators, commoners or even beggars.

Jiang Tian narrowed his eyes, A city so perfect couldn't possibly exist without any stains. Jiang Tian was sure that there was something more about this city that lurked deep within the shadows.

Shaking his head, Jiang Tian disregarded these thoughts. Since he didn't plan on establishing his influence on this faraway land. Jiang Tian didn't bother to check out these intricacies as he walked towards the City's main square where the merchants concentrated.

”Armors, weapons, talismans, anything that you require! We have everything here! Come by our store if you're interested!” A man clad in grey tunic shouted with enthusiasm. His shouts soon attracted the attention of cultivators and commoners whose expression brightened in delight when they saw the low prices of his items.

Commoners could buy their items using copper, silver and gold coins while cultivators could buy their items using Spirit Stones. As long as you had a trace of Spiritual Energy in your body. You had to pay for your items using Spirit Stones so most commoners chose not to cultivate and silently live their mundane life.

After all, Spirit Stones were rare items and a single Common Spirit Stone costs five gold coins and five gold coins was an average person's annual salary. The difference was too much and not anyone could handle it.

Sneaking his way before the stall, Jiang Tian saw numerous items sorted according to their class. Items meant for commoners were tagged with a grey imprint while those items meant for cultivators were tagged with a purple imprint.

Jiang Tian swept his gaze over the items with the purple imprint and using the prices as a benchmark. He realized that he may have borrowed too much money from Xia Bingyue as a wry smile lifted on his face.

Inside Xia Bingyue's pouch were at least a hundred Common Spirit Stones and the items displayed before his eyes had prices ranging from two to five Common Spirit Stones at the highest.

”Damn, I may have borrowed too much. Oh well, since everything has already happened. I should just find some ways to spend this money as efficiently as I can so that Xia Bingyue wouldn't feel wronged...”

The cultivators excitedly talked with each other before an armor that shone in a cold dreamy light. The surface was covered with mysterious markings and sigils that revealed a chilling frost.

”Boss, how much for the armor?” A cultivator asked.

”You have good taste, sir! This armor is personally made by Elder Xia Hanyi of the Xia Clan. It's called the Armor of Ice Cavern. It can withstand the concenrated attacks of a peak Essence Condensation Realm master. You can even find his signature at the hem of the armor.” The merchant replied with a smile and raised two fingers in the air.

”You can have it for a low price of two hundred Common Spirit Stones!”

”Low price, my ass! Why don't you go and rob a bank or something!”
