20 Not a dream (1/2)
Yi Ziwei didn't see the person whom she thought would return to her in an hour. The clock ran to the time for the sun to escape from people's eyesight. In the meantime none came to visit her except for a nurse, not even her doctor friends, Zhao Yue and Liu Gengxin.
The skies darkened with streaks of orange and white. Waiting till evening, Ziwei lost her hope and went to bed after taking little food.
The mental stress she experienced from morning, made her to fall asleep soon. She who was sleeping suddenly woke up with widened eyes and sweat all over her face. Her body felt numb and her heart turned heavy and she started to gasp with troubled breathing.
She had dreamed a bad one. Taking deep breaths she calmed herself before turning her eyes to see the surroundings. Her outfit remained same as dull striped pajamas but her room got changed into heavenly palace. She wasn't in her patient room but was sleeping in a room, which resembled more like a hotel room.
She thought she was still dreaming and cleared her eyes rubbing them with palms. Her vision became clear and her pitch black orbs soon gazed at the art pieces hanged to the walls.
The paintings received her appreciation as the flowers in the paintings were her favourite lilies and chrysanths.
She looked at them absorbing herself in the paintings till the time she heard a female voice.
In a fraction of second, she saw a middle aged woman walking towards her with a dress and a pair of soft sandals.
Ziwei was asked by the lady to dress up and she did as said. She who had stiff bandaged ankle for the past two days felt stuffed up and helped the woven cloth to fly free.
Ziwei was still in daze thinking about the moment when she slept in her patient room as she couldn't interpret how she ended sleeping at such a strange place.
After coming out of the room, she was made to walk through a corridor to reach their destination.
She walked all the way towards a hall filled with a few thousands of people cheering their favourite singer. Noticing the crowded place, she identified it as a concert hall. Watching the crowd she rolled her eyes and left their gaze on the wide screen to see the celebrity singer.
She was left dumbstruck on seeing the singer on the screen who was a Chinese American singer that gained immense fame in the past few years. She kept staring at the star singer and on the other hand the male singer continued dancing and singing his top rated songs.
She don't know why but for some reason, her palms turned cool with increased heart rate. Her sight turned blurry and she felt a spinning sensation.
By the second she regained a clear vision and her body and mind felt stable she was handed with a mic and was standing on the stage with the singer named Steve Chen on her side.
