19 Leaving (1/2)

After much reflexion he decided on the second option, a talent TV show. Of course the idea was great, even the timing was perfect as the biggest french talent TV show's auditions were beginning in the next month. The issue was Em, he either stopped her from school and took her with him for longer than two months or he could find someone to keep her, his relatives weren't a good idea as both himself and Em didn't know much about them and he didn't want to bother his friends...

Thinking about it he won't be staying in this medium sized city for a long time, it was way too restricted in opportunities. For the moment it was fine but later he will be moving around the world, either for his musical carrier, for his unborn acting carrier or even if he started a business.

What he could do now is simply pay a nanny to take care of Em while he will be away and also ask friends to drop by whenever they could to check on her, he felt bad leaving his sister alone for months but it was a step he must take for his carrier to soar.

After deciding he looked on the net for a full time nanny, it must be someone that is willing to stay at home even at night, it will be hard to find... he didn't even know if it existed.

After a bit of research he found a website specially made for full time live-in nannies.

Before going any further he called Annie

”Hey Annie ?”

”Good morning Sam !”

”How have you been ?”

”Pretty well, you don't call very often...”

”Hahah I'm sorry I was busy with work.”

”It's fine, is everything fine ?”

”Kind of, I need more visibility on my YouTube channel so I thought of an idea but I'll have to leave Toulouse for at least 2 months. I'll get a full time nanny to take care of Em and I wanted to ask you if you could pass by sometimes to check on her.”

”What ?! Where are you going ?”

”Paris. That's where everything is, I'll get more opportunities there.”

”Ok I get it but you don't have to get a nanny, I can keep Em for you and mom will take her to school with Rika everyday.”

”No ! No, I don't want to bother you, checking on her will be enough.”

”Bring her the day you'll be leaving, my parents will already know by then, don't forget her clothes and the rest.”

”Ahhhh... ok.”

She hung up right after that, she wasn't the kind of girl to change her mind once she decided something there was no way Sam could change it with words through the phone. Truly a hard to deal with kind of girls.

It was already night so he didn't bother Em by waking her up to tell her the news, he went on Internet to check the lodgings he could get for his budget, he had around 2000€ left from both YouTube and ”Chords to the core”'s sponsorship. A hotel would be either too expensive for 2 months with his budget or too shabby so he checked Airbnb appartements, some were too far from downtown, others were too expensive for 1 person. He kept browsing for awhile but couldn't find anything satisfying so he decided to rent an apartment, it was expensive but less than an Airbnb. He found one located in a building in the 11th district of Paris, one room, one living room and a kitchen, not far from downtown and the price was very attracting compared to the rest, 600€ per month.

He didn't lose time and rented it for the next 2 months, he'd be leaving Toulouse in 3 days. After making sure he didn't forget anything he went to sleep, it was a very difficult decision he had made and didn't know how Em would take it, will she be happy to stay with her best friend for the next 2 months or will she be angry at her big brother for leaving her alone for so long ?

That night he had a hard time falling asleep, not only because of Em but because he felt like this trip would make his life bigger, he might become a celebrity during this trip.
