”Hello, my name is Sam Petit.”

”Nice to meet you Sam, what is your talent ?”

”I have a few but I came here today to sing and rap.”

”Hahaha are you confident in your skills ?”

”I am, I wouldn't have came here if I wasn't.”

”Fine, why do you surprise us ?”

Sam looked at the MC on the side of the stage and nodded to him, the MC also nodded to someone and the beat came out, it was a slow piano rhythm that most people there recognized instantly, the song was released in 2002 by Eminem and it was called ”lose yourself”, it was also the soundtrack from the movie 8miles where Eminem was the lead actor. After changing the lyrics to his liking he felt like this was the best song to start with.

When the slow piano stopped and the guitar started ringing he spoke the intro :

”Look, if you had

One shot

One opportunity

To seize everything you ever wanted

Would you capture it, or just let it slip

And then started the rap part

”His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy

There's vomit on his sweater already: Mom's spaghetti

He's nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready

To drop bombs, but he keeps on forgetting

What he wrote down, the whole crowd goes so loud

He opens his mouth, but the words won't come out

He's choking, how? Everybody's joking now

By the time he was done most of the people that knew Eminem had their hairs standing, this guy in front of them could transmit such strong emotions through his voice, he was way to similar to the original on that.

The song kept going for a minute without a sound, in the waiting room everybody was just as surprised. After spending a long time there most of the people had looked at who was waiting with them and they had seen this guy with earphones in the ears and eyes closed, he didn't look at the TV and was just sleeping.

Now this sleepy dude was actually a genius rapper ? Back on stage Sam was done with his performance, he put so much of his soul into it that he was all sweaty by now.

”Wow, I wasn't expecting this.”

Said one of the female judges.

”I didn't understand most of it as I'm not proficient in English but I still had goosebumps...”

Said the other male judge that didn't speak until now.

”Let's not lose time as it's already late, I vote yes ! What about you guys ?”
