23 Be my model (1/2)

For the next few days Sam kept going to his usual place singing with his guitar and publishing the raw videos on YouTube, he thought that maybe people would feel more realism in a raw video so he tried it.

The third day he was singing and the crowd was as big as usual, meanwhile in the crowd a girl was looking at him intensely : she had dark skin, beautiful eyes and was a bit overweight these three things were what described her the best, another thing was probably her fashion sense. She was really dressed beautifully

'This guy... I'll talk to him and see if he's willing.'

When Sam was done she walked toward him and extended a hand

”Nice to meet you Sam, I am Rena.”

His name was still on the sign at his feet so she didn't need to ask him.

”Nice to meet you Rena, can I help you with something ?”

He answered with the smile, girls and less often guys came after the show to ask for his number, to hang out or more... he wasn't interested so often he politely refused and thought that she came for the same reason, he was handsome and had gained 10 points of charisma recently so it wasn't surprising that he attracted girls and boys like a magnet.

”Yes you can ! I've been looking for a handsome and tall guy like yourself to help me... would you like to talk about it ?”

”Yeah sure...”

This wasn't the usual kind of offers he had so he thought he'd give it a shot.

Sitting on the terrace of a cafe he asked her

”So tell me, what kind of help do you need ?”

”Let me reintroduce myself first, my name is Rena and I'm a clothes designing student in a famous school. We have a contest with all the students where we must do a catwalk and be judged by real designers, we have to make the clothe, find the model, do the make up... everything !”

”So after seeing me you thought of me for modeling ? I just have to tell you that I never did a catwalk.”

”Don't worry it isn't that hard to pick up, you have a month to be decent at it.”

”Tell me more about the contest.”

”Well our school gave birth to a lot of renowned designers that work for brands like Gucci, Guess, Balenciaga and a lot of others. These people are invited once a year to be the judges of the contest while we students, are given one theme to base ourselves on and we have to be the best.”

Now he was getting interested, this was another door to fame opening up for him, if one of the judges wanted him to be his model for a real brand collection he would gain a lot of fame, not only in the modeling world as it was a very open world, lots of people from this world ended up acting in movies, TV shows and other things. He would grab this chance and make it his parachute, he was now seriously thinking about dropping from school once for all.

”Have you already been given your theme ?”

”Yes it is ”East”, I guess they want me to inspire my collection by asian culture.”

”Isn't the theme too wide ? Asian culture is deep, China, Korea , Japan , India, Vietnam.... and there are still hundreds of others.”

”Yes we are a few students to have been given this theme so we have to be original and not fall into the mainstream train of thought.”

”Have you already thought about something ?”

”Hmmm... I'm not sure, I was thinking about modernizing a man's kimono and making it into something similar to a suit.”

”Isn't this the mainstream train of thought you spoke about earlier ?”

”Right but I was sitting with the people that got the same theme discussing it and everybody was afraid to try something like this and they went on way less coveted ideas, I guess everybody will avoid Japan, Korea and China so that'll make us the unique and daring ones.”

”I'll just be the model, you are the daring one. I'll dress in whatever you tell me to.”
