”Sam ! A pleasure to see you again.”

”The feeling is reciprocated.”

He replied while smiling, lately because his life was going so well he was feeling happier than ever so his personality was also changing into a cheerful young man instead of the expressionless young man he used to be in university, before he got the system the only times he smiled was when he was with Em, now he smiled more and more and that made him more likable in the eyes of everybody else.

”I'm happy to hear that hahah, how are you feeling today ? Not too stressed ?”

”No I'm fine, I'm very confident in what I prepared.”

”Oh really ? I have no doubt that you will surprise us once again ! Is there someone amongst the other finalists that you are especially aware of ?”

This was the normal procedure that every contestant went through, a small interview before their performance. Probably to let the audience know them better and grasp what kind of person they were before voting, even if someone was very talented if they had a bad personality they wouldn't want to vote for them. This show was very different from ”The Voice” where the judges had to decide only on the voice and singing skills of the contestants, here everything counted: the looks, the talent, the personality.

”Not really hahah, I was focusing on my performance so I didn't have the time to look at my opponents...”

He laughed nervously , would that make him appear arrogant in the audience's eyes ? Anyway it was the truth and he didn't want to lie for such an unimportant thing.

”Hahah I understand, knowing how good are your opponents isn't going to help you in any

way. Very well Sam, the stage is yours !”

He was perfectly right, even if someone knew that someone else in that group was actually a better singer than himself... what could he do ? That was the case for normal people but for Sam he had a solution, buying a singing skill book would be enough for him to crush that opponent.

If he wasn't certain that a level 3 singing skill book was enough he would have bought a level 4 already. The reason that made him sure that a level 3 was enough was Rena, yesterday while they were working on the outfit she had told him that except the fact that she sang original songs he was a better singer than Julie. If his friends believed that he was better it was enough for him to believe in himself also.

Sam looked over at the MC that was also looking at him with a smile and both nodded at each other, the new production that Keith did last week started, a beautiful melody tang in the room, neither slow not fast paced it was perfect. Sam grabbed the microphone in front of him and started singing, the song talked about him that was betrayed by his first love, when he started writing and needed a subject to write about he thought about the years he had spent with Sophia, now he didn't care anymore and had almost forgot about her but he couldn't erase all those years that they had spend together right ? This song was kind of a way to prove it was over between them, after this song he would forever forget who she was.

He took his time and lost himself in the song, his memories took him back years ago when he was madly in love, he remembered when their parents took them hiking on a mountain, he took her backpack to help her and she had whispered in his ear

”I love you, I'll stay by your side forever!”

At the time she was a cute and pure young girl, nobody would have guessed that she'd grow up to betray her boyfriend for money.

Back in the present when he thought about how money could change a mind and a person so easily his face couldn't help but let out a sad expression that wasn't missed by the cameras.

Finally after 2 minutes on stage his performance was done, now either he lost or won he would pack up to leave the next day, he had spent too much time here and was getting tired, he wanted to go back to his city to see his friends, his home and of course his little sister, he would also have to apologize to Annie's parents, he had left his sister in their care for so long.

”Great performance!”

Said the judge that had greeted Sam while standing up and applauding.

”Wow...”
