39 Non-related Aun (1/2)
Bai Feng shook his head and looked at the other photos. A family photo caught his eye.
”Hmm?” He was puzzled. He frowned as he tried to distinguish the appearance of the person on top of it.
The photo was an old black-and-white photograph. There were four people in total. Two middle-aged men and women were sitting in front of the photo while a sister/brother appears to stand behind it. They looked like a family of four.
The man sitting in front looked very familiar. Bai Feng rolled his eyes, unable to figure out what was going on.
At this moment, Bai Zhexi returned with the soy melon.
”Auntie, who's the man in this picture?”
Bai Zhexi moved closer to take a look, and her breathing paused for a moment before she said indifferently, ”Oh, this is my father.”
It was obvious that she didn't want to say more. Bai Feng's eyesight was very good.
With a ”Oh,” it looked at the basin in Bai Zhexi's hand. Inside was a fist-sized melon with a dark brown color unique to soy sauce.
”Bai Feng, I've brought back the soy melon. While you're eating, wash it with water and cut it into strips to eat.” Bai Zhexi told her about the way the melons were eaten.
Bai Feng smiled and said, ”Got that. You can tell that it's not bad with a glance.”
It was probably very tasty. Otherwise, Wan Chao wouldn't be so stingy. Bai Feng smiled as it took the soy melon and left.
A group of children surrounded Bai Feng's car downstairs and scattered when they saw him coming.
Bai Feng drove the car all the way to the Beijing Hotel and headed straight for his brother.
”Hey, brother, guess who I just saw at Wan Chao's house?” Bai Feng shouted loudly.
On the way, he finally figured out who the man in the photo, that is, Bai Zhexi's father, looked like.
Bai Lanting, who was looking at the restaurant bill, raised his eyebrows and asked perfunctorily, without taking his eyes off the bill, ”Who is it?”
Bai Feng did not care about his brother's perfunctory attitude and said while waving his arms around:
”There was a big picture frame hanging on the wall of her house, and there were a lot of them. I also saw a picture of Wan Chao'er when she was young, it was really cute, not like the sharp end of her head right now. Right now, she's just like a proud rooster, and the years are really like a pig slaughtering knife.”
Bai Feng's way of speaking had no ends to it. It should have been talking about how Bai Zhexi's father, but now it wanted to talk about Wan Chao.
Bai Lanting casually replied with an ”En.”
Bai Feng continued, ”But what I want to say is not Wan Chao'er, but Auntie Bai's dad. So she has a brother, and I don't know what that brother of hers is doing. Look at how embarrassed Chao'er is, the house is filled with pickles, there isn't even a place to eat.
Bai Lanting could not hold it in any longer and growled, ”Get to the point!”
”What I want to say is that Auntie Bai's father, also known as Wan Chao's grandfather, looks really like our grandfather. No, he looks even more like our father from ten years ago.”
Grandfather Bai passed away when he was seven or eight years old. The grandfather that Bai Feng remembered was an old man with wrinkles all over his face.
Bai Lanting paused for a moment, then raised his head to look at Bai Feng and asked seriously, ”Really?”
”Well, I won't lie to you. The photo is on the wall of Wan Chao's house.”
”Are you sure it's Auntie Bai's father?”
