129 Isll Try (1/2)
It was pouring heavily outside. Kim sat by the door waiting for him to return. She had repeatedly called him but he wasn't answering the phone.
She couldn't really blame him, she had been so selfish, she wondered if he would forgive her. Thinking back she had done a lot of things, acted so selfishly that she wasn't sure he would return to her.
She got jealous if he spoke to a lady but she told her friends he was her brother. Recalling he asked why he loved her, her eyes began to itch.
By 9 PM, the doors opened. ”Why are you sitting on the floor?” He asked.
Kim hurriedly got up, ”I was waiting for you.”
She noticed the water dripping from his hair, his clothes were wet too.
”You don't have to do that,” His husky voice sounded. He had returned to how he formerly was. There was no trace of sadness or anger. She felt relieved because he wasn't angry, then anxious, it was better he yelled at her than act this way. It was unnerving.
”I'm sorry,” she said, her head hanging low.
He walked into the house. She trailed after him. Carl got into the closet to change his wet clothes before returning to the bedroom.
When she looked at him, she was startled. His eyes were lifeless, like the first time they met.
”I'm sorry, I just didn't….”
Carl interrupted her, ”Saying sorry, doesn't change the fact that you hurt me and I can't force you to reciprocate my feelings either, so I'll let go of you.”
”No, Carl listen, I just didn't want them to know I'm living with a man.” She tried to explain or justify her wrong.
”I see….” He said nodding, ”You're ashamed of people finding out….”
Kim went forward to hold his hands but he pulled back, not wanting to be touched by her anymore.
”Do you like him that much?”
”What?”
”Sean… I can't help but think he's the reason. If not, you were comfortable telling others we are married.”
The truth was that that video kept replaying in his head. He tried not to bring Sean into their conversation but he was curious. He wanted to know their relationship.
”That's different, they're strangers… besides we're not really married.” Kim argued.
”Then, what exactly are your feelings for me?”
The calmness in his voice, made her even more uncomfortable.
”I… don't know.” She stuttered.Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please clickfor visiting.
