Chapter 4: The Sudden Change Between Me And My Cla.s.smates Is Too Much

Part 1

“It’s already this late………….”

I was looking at Yuuouji who was playing with Chocolat and Yuragi at the lazy pool and made a sigh.

Approximately 1 hour ago.

“W-wait up Yuuouji! Sorry, I didn’t think you would be that displeased when your hands are being held”

Having finally found Yuuouji after looking around the pool premise, I I desperately stopped her when her face turned red and she was about to run off again.

“Heh……….hand?”

Yuuouji looked blank.

“Huh………..wasn’t I talking about your hand?”

I made the exact same face.

“…………………..a-ahaha, t-that’s right, you were talking about my hand when you meant touching. Ha-haha…………….i wonder why did I run away then”

“No………………that’s what I want to know”

Yuuouji who got energetic for an unknown reason, completely turned back to her normal self…………, I have no idea what was going on here at all.

After that, I brought the recovered Yuuouji back to Yawakaze and we regrouped back to the other members which were all gathered at one point by the president.

The view of the 6 school’s prided beauties are in their swimsuits together was magnificent but-------

President Kokubyakuin immediately brought Yawakaze and Reikadou somewhere else so, our original 4 members went to the lazy pool.

I finally got a chance to relax so after I let the noisy 3 girls to play; I decided to think about a way to clear the mission.

But, although I was twisting my mind from just now, there were no signs of a method to make Yuuouji cry p.o.o.ping up at all.

Whenever that happens, the existence of my secret weapon pa.s.ses by my mind. Things would be simple if I use that but………….no, I should think about this a little more.

“Haaa…………I guess I’ll swim a little too as refreshment”

While ma.s.saging my head which turned heavy from thinking too much, I walked towards the lazy pool.

Furano was floating in the lazy pool with a swim ring while looking at Chocolat, Ouka and Yuragi jealously.

After the Agua-kun event where she lost them; it was a few minutes ago when she went around the premise and found Kanade’s group.

She can’t bring herself to boldly talk to them and she can’t make up her mind to go back.

Just when her negative thinking jumped in, she saw Kanade who was resting at the pool side, entering right at the middle of Chocolat’s group and Furano.

Someone b.u.mped into her and the swim ring flew off.

Even when Furano was rampaging around, water entered her nose and mouth and made her panic even more.

I entered the lazy pool and heard splashes behind me.

When I looked over there, someone drowning was flowing there. It seems that the person was quite in panic even though it wasn’t that deep here, and since the person was splas.h.i.+ng water around grandly because of the rampage, I could not know if it was male of female……….

I am imagining things right? Just now, I saw her make a very cute expression and she said Auuu……………

That’s the reason why I am hesitant to use this. No matter it may be Yuuouji, making a girl’s face covered in snot is just too much.

She was giving off the atmosphere of about to say “Let’s not” so, I calmed her down my tapping her shoulders.

Yuuouji raised a death agony like a small fry in the end of the century and jumped up. That’s a scared pattern beyond my expectations…………I might be able to expect something from this.

Meanwhile, we reached in front of the [Water x Ghost]. The outer appearance gave off a scary artistic feel.

A Staff one-chan smiled and asked us at the entrance.

“It’s a couple I see, go on ahead in together”

It seems that Yuuouji only heard the together part and shouted without hearing the end of the sentence. Oi oi, just how scared are you……….

I feel anxious leaving Chocolat and Yuragi but, I guess I’ll focus on the mission now.

Drips of water started falling on my shoulders. It’s a prop signifying that this is within a pool establishment.

In order to clear the mission, it would really convenient to have Yuuouji scared to her wits end but, I talked to her because I felt a little pity about who scared she was.

Something jumped out from the aquarium beside us and interrupted Yuuouji’s sentence.

Yuuouji who got terrified at that grotesques appearance, was grabbing onto my swim trunks and trembling.

Another suddenly appeared from the opposite side.

After screaming loudly, she ran off before giving me any chance to stop her.

She then s.n.a.t.c.hed the camera from my hand and threw it at the mermaid with all her might.

“GO THEEEEEEEREEE!”

The camera that landed right at the mermaid’s grim face, made a nasty sound before falling onto the ground.

“A-are you kidding me!”

I quickly picked it up; even though it’s water proof, the camera which isn’t that st.u.r.dy, got destroyed.

T-the best opportunity………….

Without even the time to grief, Yuuouji screamed and ran off again.

“Y-Yuuouji!”

I quickly chased after her.

“Ah found her”

Yuuouji wasn’t sitting down this time but rather she was standing still in the middle of the road.

I got closer and noticed something weird. Although her tears stopped, her expression looks empty.

“Y-Yuuouji, are you okay?”

“……………….”

She won’t answer. Her eyes doesn’t looked focused and err, isn’t this bad?

“Kanade”

“……….Eh?”

Wh-what did she just say?

“Kanade”

She said it clearly once more and gripped my swim trunks tightly.

“Yu-Yuuouji?”

What? What is happening here?

“You aren’t Kanade?”

“No, I am definitely Kanade but, that isn’t the problem………..”

Another word came flying out from Yuuouji’s mouth next.

“Piggyback”

Her talking pattern crossed to another dimension of childishness; it practically feels like she’s a child.

There’s no way that manga-like event will…………..but in reality, the Yuuouji in front of me completely has the expression and posture from a child in kindergarten.

Since nothing can be helped even if I grieved, I continued moving forward while giving Yuuouji a piggyback.

Maybe her fear got somehow reduced because she was getting carried, she was docile at first but………….

Just how much of a fan for mermaids does this haunted mansion have…………..normally, the fear would probably be lighter with this continuous chain but, Yuuouji was screaming loudly just like before.
