Chapter 61 - Friendzone cake (1/2)

The wizard entered the tower… which was the start of the Adventure of the Wizard that created the cure for sadness. Anne and Henry only guided him to the entrance of the tower and left him there to cross the path. They waved him goodbye and wished him good luck.

The wizard nodded and felt that the mission that will change the world was about to start. The one where he will give a start to a new bright and free world. However, the journey will be difficult as the Founder Tower is not an easy place, in fact, it could be considered the most dangerous one in the world. Only the braves could enter and unravel the mysteries inside those hallways filled with books of any kind of magic. From the most innocent and basic magic to the most dangerous and devil magic. Not forgetting the black magic.​​

He entered the place once and the hearing of murmurs and whipping sounds almost sent him to a week of nightmares. He couldn't pass through to the second floor for fear of finding more and more books… they were too much to resist readying them or even touching them or even worse, stealing them for his own purposes.

Anyway, the place was said to be cursed and that some strange forces lived inside there. This time that he had traveled and accomplished so many achievements, he even passed through several dangers and escaped safely. Not that he was the cause and reason of most of those dangers, especially the guards of some princesses towers, damsel in distress that was not really looking forward to being saved by the strange Wizard because they were already married and their husbands were not really happy seeing the wizard taking tea and flirting with their wives.

Anyway, the wizard felt new courage from the good luck waves of the young couple on the back. They seemed to be even having a hard time letting him go, it was obvious they were worried, though, the reason, well, only them could understand it, but most likely was because the arrival of that wizard to the tower will mean the distress of the people already inside…

”What are you doing here?!”

Assistant Vin and his new group of little minions, aka, last grade students and new recruits on the VinDev Company, were occupying the first floor as the research base for now. They had negotiated with Principal Adam to let them use the library for a few months until their own tower was finished. In exchange, they will clean the library and repair the devices and tubes around as it seemed that they were scaring the people coming to seek knowledge. They even repaired the special effect machine that they sold at a good price to the choir club.

”I repeat, what are you doing here?” Assistant Vin was not in a good mood, not at all, not in the least. He never liked that Principal Adam for stealing the love of his life, but he even decided to broadcast him having a child with his wife in the school special and new section of 'News with tarts,' the 'confess your love' section.

Wizard Druon for the first time felt the threat of being about to be murdered, it was worse than any of those days he had to run for his life though, he was the main cause.

”Vin… Vincent, I came here… be… because…”

”Explain…” the eyes of Assistant Vin were growing dangerous. The anger he felt inside would not face away from that easily, he needed someone to discharge his amazing fury, and here was someone perfect for the job.

”AH!”

Those were loud screams of some brave wizard that was sent to stand the fury of a friend-zoned Assistant Vin. Though, some students said that they went to the library's kitchen after the torture was over, and they heard laughs and whippings and then heartbreaking sounds of crazy broken-hearted people.

They don't know who was the one that was singing which songs but titles like, 'Just a friend to you,' or 'Someone like you,' were heard in a terrible wailing. However, the lyrics were so amazing that even the choir club that came to the tower to repair the special effects machine was amazed by the incredible high-pitch. Though, they were stealing the lyrics too.

”It was just a small lie, I didn't really mean it, please forgive me,” James was in a dire situation.

That morning he was notified through one hundred and seventy-nine messages in his MINI that the day he should be expecting more than anyone had arrived. Though he didn't know.

He woke up and a big mantle was hanging on his window.

[Moira's birthday, today. Dummy!]

His eyes widened in horror and after starting to dress as quickly as he could without even showing, he moved to the kitchen almost as flying. Chef Hugo was still in his solitaire cultivation training to produce the best fruit tart in the world, and only Victor was present.

”You… get out of here!”

With a baker sleeve full of cream ready to come out and attack whoever dared to step near Moira's cake, Victor threatened James, who was in a very dire situation.

He didn't know when was his girlfriend's birthday and was about to go crazy. His first step was to go ask a chef in the kitchen for a cake as quickly as possible, but he wasn't aware that the whole chefs went out in close cultivation for the sake of a fruit tart and cookies. His only move was now to bake himself a cake.
