Chapter 67 - Find the Spy (Part 2) (1/2)

”Please, Rose, I can explain, I swear.”

The day was beautiful as the sunlight welcomed the students at the Academy, the sky was clear and the temperature was perfect. However, some gasps and murmurs could be heard in the hallways. Some say, he came in a white horse and descended with a bouquet of red roses. They all knew where he was going, and they all knew why he was red to his ears. The shy prince was going to see his gentle maiden.

Rose was in the room of her club, the healers club, arranging some papers and books when suddenly, the door opened and the many students inside went outside while giggling. Her face was so red that she didn't have the courage to turn around. Ilian was waiting for her to turn around. He had prepared himself thoroughly for her to admire him and notice his care and attention for her. His knight uniform was a marvelous sight on him but the flowers on his hands, roses, of course, almost made the group of girl on the outside faint.

They had planned to have another date that morning and then have some breakfast, but, she sent him a message very early that he couldn't help but to rush to her clubroom when the last preparation was still ongoing.

”Rose?”

She was still looking outside the window stealing glances at the reflection of his image.

”Then… Your Highness…”

”Please, Rose, you don't have to call me that way,” he approached her from behind and left the bouquet of roses on the table in front of her. She wanted to move her hand to touch them and smell the soft aroma, but she stopped.

She blushed when she felt his hand surrounding her waist and his chin on her shoulder. ”Your… your…”

”Ilian,” he whispered, though, he was red to the ears too.

She shivered when the breath coming from his words touched her shoulder in a delicate murmur. Her back was holding his warmth and a strange feeling of calm. She wanted so hard to turn around and say that he didn't need to explain anything, but Hannah and Tia told her that she should demand an explanation.

”Then… Ilian? What happened?” she whispered and wanted to sound strong and cool, but she jumped when his hands hold her waist tighter to his body.

He liked to hear her calling his name, not just his title. For so many years, he had imagined the moment she will call his name with that soft voice of hers. It was a fantasy he had always had and dėsɨrėd.

”Say it again, Rose,” he whispered and held her tighter. Then as she was turning her face towards him, she looked at his eyes and blushed. However, this time they didn't move from the gaze they were sharing. Just a second more, a second more.

”Ilian,” she whispered, and he sealed her lips without thinking twice again. No more waiting, no more 'Kiss the girl' songs, and no more hesitation.

This time, the girl he had been pursuing so long, she will be his.

”Ilian,” Rose smiled when the boy that for a few seconds ago was so strong-willed but just a single kiss and her arms around his neck to upgrade the gentle kiss into the intermediate level, just that little moves and he was already on the floor blushing and covering his face with his hands.

Rose could only giggle at the cuteness of the boy. ”Ilian… aren't you going to explain?”

”I… yes, my bride,” she giggled when he didn't stand up from the carpeted floor and his arm was covering his eyes to hide the shyness. ”I will… Rose?”

Rose decided to imitate her darling Ilian and lie on the floor with him. Just above his extended arm and close to him while looking at his tender eyes.

He was now in a torture of sweetness and flushness. His heart was bombarding his body and about to scratch his skin to come out and rest in the palm of Rose. That traitor had already found another master to venerate and keep alive.

His eyes were about to get lost in her eyes when she suddenly started giggling. ”Ilian, aren't you telling me?”

”Yes!”
