368 The breakfast date 01 (1/2)
”Hmm… Ryn? What time is it?” Mika asked sleepily as she tried to wrap herself firmly with the thick blanket.
”It's morning,” Ryn replied huskily. She had to crawl to get to her phone and checked the time. It was actually 7.30 a.m.
Ryn sighed. She patted Mika's bottom absent-mindedly and then got up to go to the bathroom.
When she went back into her room, she found her best friend still deep in her sleep. Sighing to herself, Ryn went to the kitchen.
”Oh, I promise to have breakfast with Harry this morning,” she told herself when she was about to open the door of the refrigerator, preparing to make breakfast for the two of them after drinking a glass of water to wet her throat. She frowned. Was the promise including Mika as well? Would Harry feel comfortable with having breakfast with Mika?
Besides, she just remembered that her kitchen was empty of things to cook. She really needed to do her grocery… today.
”Well, it's his treat,” she shrugged, taking for granted to ask for Harry's opinion first. She decided for herself to let Mika tag along. Later, after breakfast, Mika would help to send her to her work.
She went back to the room to check on Mika as well as their phones. Mika still deep in her sleep. In fact, Mika was buried under the thick blanket, refused to wake up. Ryn scratched her head. What time did they actually go to bed last night for Mika to be so sleepy?
Oh well, she could not remember. But whenever it was, it seemed like both of them had so much fun.
She checked her schedule just to ensure what time it started and what time she should be there. She set the time to half an hour before just in case. And then, she connected back her phone to recharge to full. Unlike Mika, her phone did last longer but she just wanted to make sure it last long until the end of her work.
She was too lazy to bring her power bank.
It took her just ten minutes to fresh herself. Just wrapped in the towel, she went to the sleeping Mika and pulled the blanket off her best friend with all her might. She decided that Mika needed to go to the bathroom now or they would be late for breakfast and work.
”What? I want to sleep more,” Mika whined as she turned around, clutching the blanket tightly.
”Wake up, lazy girl. You need to get ready before we go for breakfast. I still have work today,” Ryn said.
”But I'm still sleepy~”
”We don't have anything in the kitchen to make breakfast. I'm already hungry,” Ryn said, ”Besides, someone wants to treat us for breakfast and is on the way.”
”Who? Jeremy?” Mika asked absentmindedly.
Who else but Jeremy?
”Hurry up. Or I will leave you,” Ryn warned. She hadn't put on her clothes yet. And it was getting cold only in the towel. She did not wait any longer and went to the cabinet to take out a pair of jeans and a black shirt. She was too cold to care whether Mika woke up or stayed sleeping.
When she returned back after finished wearing her outfit, she found her best friend sitting in the center of the bed, gazing blankly at the closed windows. Ryn frowned.
”Are you awake?” Ryn asked as she went straight to draw the window.
”Hmm…” Mika mumbled. She stretched her arms sleepily. She was still drowsy and wanted to sleep more. But she felt like Ryn would be mad if she did that. Hence why she was sitting like an idiot staring at the window.
”Quickly fresh yourself. Our ride will arrive soon,” Ryn told her and made a shoo movement with her hands.
”Who? Jeremy?” Mika frowned. Was her big brother trying to ruin her day with Ryn?
”Not him. Hurry up. We can't be late for breakfast. And I don't want to be late for work,” Ryn urged Mika. It was not her intention keeping Harry's name in secret but her mind was full of free breakfast. Besides, why would Jeremy come so early in the morning? He should go to the office already.
Mika pulled herself lazily off the bed and made her way to the bathroom. Without thinking, her fingers were already at the buttons of the pajama and undid them one by one. She left it on the floor at the door and entered the bathroom.
”Mika!” Ryn groaned and went to pick up the discarded cloth. She threw it into the laundry basket as she shook her head. Jason would have a lot in his hands after the wedding but Ryn had no doubt Jason welcomed all and everything from Mika. He was truly and without a doubt crazily in love with that silly girl.
