368 The breakfast date 01 (2/2)

Ryn had to wait more than half an hour before Mika finally came out of the bathroom. Without another word, Ryn handed a folded dress.

”Why do you like folding everything?” Mika commented but she still took it from her. ”Underwear?”

Sighing, Ryn scolded herself silently. She forgot about them. Without another word, she went to the room where she kept other branded clothes. In there, she also put a box full of unworn underwear for Mika. It was no brainer to keep them here when Mika always spent the night here having her favorite pajama party.

Mika went back into the bathroom to put on the outfit Ryn chose for her. Ryn did not want to waste more time with Mika choosing what to wear, hence the reason why she quickly chose a dress which she knew suit Mika's taste for her to put on. If she let this girl in that room, it would take ages for Mika to be ready. And Ryn was too starving for that.

”Hello, Ryn. Good morning. I'm downstairs,” Harry sent a message to Ryn and Ryn read it silently while waiting for Mika to come out from the bathroom again.

”Okay. We'll be right there,” Ryn replied quickly before added, ”Good morning to you.”

Harry, when he read the message, frowned. We? Who are we?

He did not remember that they would be having breakfast with a 'we'. Shouldn't they only have breakfast together? Just the two of them? Like it was a breakfast date?

”We?”

Ryn slapped her forehead when she read the question. She forgot to tell Harry about Mika.

”Mika is with me. You don't mind, do you?”

Harry paused when he read the reply. Mind? Of course, he would be. They were supposed to be… Harry sighed heavily. Ryn still did not accept him so who was he in her eyes right now? He should not push her too much. If she wanted to bring a lamppost along, who was he to argue? Besides, he could quickly send Mika home once they were done with the breakfast before he coaxed Ryn to go out for a real date with him.

”I don't mind,” he replied. His mind was busy thinking of a plan to make Mika leave the two of them away after breakfast.

”Cool,” Ryn replied shortly and did not check her phone anymore. Her attention was on Mika who was busy applying makeup on her face. ”Seriously?”

Mika put down the toner she was spraying on her face and looked at Ryn. She sighed heavily. ”At least prep your face, Ryn. Your skin needs love and in a few years, you will thank me. Don't be lazy.”

Sighing heavily, Ryn let Mika pulled her closer to the dressing table. She only let Mika put on toner, serum, moisturizer, and sunblock on her face. But when her best friend tried to apply some primer on her face, Ryn refused. She reached for the brush and brushed her hair, acting busy.

”Ryn~”

”Mika, our breakfast is downstairs. We don't have time for makeup. And I have a shooting today.”

”But…”

”Mika.”

Mika put back the primer tube onto the dressing table and scowled. She was the one buying all this make-up for Ryn. She knew if she let Ryn do it, she wouldn't. Ryn was too lazy to take care of her skin. God knew how she could have such smooth skin with her laziness. It must be the gene she inherited from her parents. Sometimes, Mika wished she could steal some of the genes from Ryn. She too wanted to skip the skin maintenance and eat whatever she wanted without worry. But it was impossible.

If only…

”Stop glaring at me. Let's go,” Ryn put back the brush on the table and pulled her best friend toward the door. Then, she paused with a sigh and went back to retrieve Mika's phone and her backpack. Now, they were ready to go.

”Who are we going with?” Mika asked while watching Ryn locking the door.

”Harry,” Ryn replied.

”Harry?” Mika seconded. Her nose flared. Something smelled fishy and seriously she did not like it. She looked at Ryn carefully but could not guess what was inside her best friend's mind.
