Chapter 510 - The charity dinner and her future life (2/2)

”J...” she called without opening her eyes.

”Yes, my love?”

”What did you do for Jason's party?” she asked.

”What party?” he asked with a frown.

”You know... for the wedding...”

”Ah, that one...” he glanced at her and saw her eyes still closed. He smiled, ”Why?”

”Just tell me what you all did,” she opened her eyes and glared at him. Was it so hard to answer the question straightforwardly instead of asking her back? Did he know how frustrating it was?

He smiled. He loved seeing how responsive she was when he was teasing her. It brought back the memories of when she was young, was quite cold and quiet toward people but once they started their relationship, she slowly showed her cute side. Contrary to when she was working, the expression on her face was more genuine.

He loved it, especially when she sent him her love through her eyes. But now, although they have reconciled, he swore he did not see the same expressions on her face. She still kept the wall around her heart.

Sigh.

”Jeremy, tell me you've done the bachelor party for Jason,” she gave him another glare as a warning. He should just answer the question, not giving her a question. Was he trying to drive her crazy?

”Love, we're doing it this weekend,” he said with a chuckle with his big hand, the one not holding the steering rubbing the top of her head affectionately.

”Don't do it. You're ruining my hair,” she cried as she tried to avoid his touch but failed miserably. She glared at him angrily as she tried to save her hairdo. She did not bring any hair product if she needed to redo her hair. Seriously, she would not forgive him if she could not save her hair.

He watched as her hands started to get busy.

”We can go to the saloon,” he offered. But his kind offer was replied with another glare. He chuckled but did not try to rub her hair again.

She blew out a relieved sigh when she managed to salvage her hairdo. She gave him another glare after checking her hair for the last time to ensure everything was proper and perfect.

He grinned. He turned to look to the front to focus on his driving. No more jokes or teases. They were going to arrive at the hotel. Yes, the venue for the charity dinner was at a hotel and there would be media too.

Instead of parking at the parking lot, he parked right at the entrance. He did not let the valet open the door for her. Instead, he quickly got out and threw his car key to the valet, and went to open the door for Ryn.

He put her hand on the roof of the car so she would not bump her head against it and then helped her with her hair.

Then, he took her hand to rest on his arm. ”Let's go.”

Was she ready? No.

He asked her to accompany him to this charity dinner all of a sudden. Of course, she thought of rejecting it at first when she heard it, but when she thought about this deeply, she has to admit that she should start following him to this kind of event. If they were to marry one day, she would be his permanent partner whenever he needed to attend to any functions. Being in this business world, there would be a lot of things like this that he has to attend in order to grown the business. Knowing him, she knew he would not satisfy just to lead it to stay in the same state as how his father did. He would, for sure, bringing the company to another level, not just in the country, and the continant but to make it the best in the whole world.. Right now, even though the Long was in the top five in the whole country, it still could not beat the international company in the top ten for the world.
