Lying on the bed, Rong Xiang was reading a book when he heard the doorbell. He looked up at the door from his reading glasses then glanced at the wall clock and saw it was half-past nine. Who could come at this late night?

He was in the process of getting off the bed when he heard the sound of the door unlocking. It must be Bai Xin who came out of her room to check who showed up. But since it was a late hour and Bai Xin lives alone, Rong Xiang didn't let his guards down and slowly unlocked the door of his room and peeped out to make sure there's no one with bad intentions.

However, the moment the door unlocked a man and a woman brought themselves inside, uninvited.

Bai Xin's mouth twitched in annoyance. She wanted to sleep early today but now it seems impossible. ”What are you two doing here at this late hour?” She clutched onto her waist, her brows scrunched together as if she was in pain but the two unwanted guests did not pay any heed.

”Sister, come with us to the hospital, the mother might not be able to make it. The doctor said her condition is not optimal and she needs another surgery ASAP” The two hold on to Bai Xin's hand and cried.

The two were Bai Xin's half-siblings. Her father met a Russian woman while he was on a secret mission in Russia. It was a mutual attraction between the two and soon they started living together after a few months of courtship.

Two years later she gave birth to a beautiful girl.

But unknown to Father Bai, his wife was having an affair with his own younger brother and caught the two of them in bed, red-handed which resulted in him divorcing her.

Bai Xin's mother didn't feel ashamed for her wrongdoings and openly accepted her extramarital affair and went to live with her boyfriend, leaving her three-year-old daughter behind.

All this while, Bai Xin's father diligently played the role of father and mother for the little Bai Xin until his untimely death at the hands of European Mafia when she was barely thirteen.

Before his death, her father taught his daughter everything that he knew about shooting and gun handling. He did not want her to become an assassin like him but rather pursue a career in sports and aim to get an Olympic medal for the country in the shooting.

However, her sharp skills became her biggest enemy. Her own uncle- cum- stepfather sold her to the European mafia by showing him the videos of her practicing shooting skills in the training center.
