227 Craving for some Spicy Crayfish (1/2)

Both of them began to laugh when they realized that they have spoken at the same time.

Lin Tian Yu tilted her head down and bit down her smile. She looked up to Xue Yi Ming and saw the way he was touching his nose awkwardly. ”This place is not far from my sister's apartment. I was craving for some spicy crayfish and recalled that my sister took me to a good place around here last time,” Lin Tian Yu answered. She tucked a few strands of hair behind her ear and asked, ”What about you?”

Xue Yi Ming glanced back at the club across the street. ”I came to work. My company is the one who provided the club with the security system. Something came up, and I have to show up.”

Hearing his answer, Lin Tian Yu felt her heart lightened. Although she did not know who was that woman beside him just now, she was sure that Xue Yi Ming didn't come alone to have fun as she initially thought.

”Why are you alone?” Xue Yi Ming asked.

Lin Tian Yu noticed the frown on his face but thought nothing much about it. ”My sister went to your place, right?”

”What I mean is,” Xue Yi Ming exhaled, slightly frustrated as he looked at her big, bright eyes.

It was not long ago since Huang Cheng went to look for her and create trouble. How can this girl be brave enough to go out on her own? Isn't she afraid that Huang Cheng would come and look for her again? Since she was alone and not many people walked around the area, anything could happen.

”It's late,” Xue Yi Ming pointed out. ”You shouldn't be walking around alone. Do you know how dangerous it is for a girl like you to be around this place at this time?”

Lin Tian Yu was startled as she heard his scolding tone. She looked around and saw a few drunkards walking around the area. It was then that fear started to creep in. ”I didn't think.”

Xue Yi Ming sighed. ”Where are you going?” he toned down his tone. ”I'll take you home.”

”I still haven't eaten that crayfish.”

Xue Yi Ming gritted his teeth. How was it that she was still thinking about food?

Lin Tian Yu lifted her head to look at him. ”Would you like to go with me?”

”Will the place still open at this time?” Xue Yi Ming glanced at his wristwatch. It was almost midnight.

”The shop opened until late at night.”

Xue Yi Ming thought about it. He planned to head back home once he finished his work. Earlier, he could not stop thinking about the dishes displayed on the dining table. But it would be problematic if he returned now. After all, Yang Yun and Lin Mingyue were alone. He did not want to disturb them and risk to see something he should not accidentally.

Now that Lin Tian Yu had invited him to accompany her, Xue Yi Ming had a reason to return late. Moreover, it was not as if he was going to say no to this girl. Since the last time he was rejected, the time they hang out with just the two of them was very limited.
