229 He Should Not Kiss Her (1/2)

Back at Xue Yi Ming's apartment…

After dinner, Mingyue volunteered to clean up the dishes but was rejected by Yang Yun. In the end, Yang Yun sent her back to the living room to accompany and play around with Xiao Mi.

When Xiao Mi heard that Mingyue was going to play with him, Xiao Mi was satisfied. He looked at Yang Yun with a hint of gratefulness in his eyes.

Lin Mingyue peeked at Yang Yun in the kitchen as she let Xiao Mi curled up on her lap. Once he had cleaned up the kitchen, Yang Yun wiped his hand on a towel. His lips turned up into a smile as he met Mingyue's gaze.

Yang Yun raised a brow and threw the towel into a basket. ”What is it?” he asked as he walked out.

”Nothing,” Mingyue shook her head. Seeing Yang Yun approaching her, Mingyue felt a bit anxious.

Of course, Yang Yun would notice the slight change in her expression. ”Mingyue,” he called out her name in a low tone, ”Are you nervous? Being alone with me, are you nervous?”

Lin Mingyue felt her body stiffened. ”No. Of course not,” she denied. Mingyue escaped his gaze and turned to the sleeping cat. ”I was just worried about Brother Xue. It's late, and he hasn't come back.”

”He's a grown man, don't worry about him,” Yang Yun said. ”Earlier, he texted me that the problem with the system was quite serious. I don't think he will come back before everything settled.”

Hearing that Xue Yi Ming might not return anytime soon, Mingyue felt her heart skipped a beat.

Her thought could not help but wonder what will happen as she was alone in the house with Yang Yun. She was looking forward to what will happen next.

When that thought crossed her mind, Lin Mingyue quickly chided herself. Yang Yun was a proper man. There was no way that he would try to do anything in Xue Yi Ming's house.

Lin Mingyue snapped out of her thought as she felt a weight next to her. She looked up and saw that Yang Yun sat next to her. Her heart jumped when he suddenly leaned towards her. Mingyue shut her eyes tightly as she braced for what was going to happen next.

Then, she heard the chattering sound coming from the Television.

Mingyue opened her eyes again and saw that Yang Yun had his eyes on the screen. Her throat felt dried. It was then that she realized, Yang Yun was not trying to kiss her, but he leaned towards her to grab the remote control which happened to be beside her.

Her face turned red, and Mingyue lowered her head. She stared in dumbfounded at her laps when she realized that Xiao Mi was no longer curling on her laps. She did not know when that black cat had left her side.

Lin Mingyue turned her head to look for Xiao Min and found him staring at her at a distance. His eyes showed resentment.

Earlier, she was too agitated that she had subconsciously disturbed Xiao Mi in his sleep.

”Mingyue?”

”Huh?” She turned towards the voice in a daze.

Before she could properly react, she saw him leaned over, and his lips covered hers without any warning. Mingyue was too shocked that her body went stiff, and her mind went blank. Her eyes widened as she did not know what to do.

Suddenly, Yang Yun pulled away to look at her face.
