Even after they recovered from their heated moment, none of them choose to make a move. Looking at them, it seemed as if the time has stopped in the room.

It wasn't until they heard a loud thud coming from one of the rooms that they both choose to pull away. Their gaze met before Mingyue lowered her head to avoid his eye contact.

Her eyes widened in surprise when she saw her slight messy clothes. Mingyue immediately adjusted her hair and clothes in fear that Xue Yi Ming might return.

Lin Mingyue looked up again when they heard the sound of something scraping against the wood flooring. It was as if something dragged on the floor.

Yang Yun stood up to check on that noise when Xiao Mi appeared from behind the sofa. The black cat nudged a brown leather book with his head.

When Yang Yun saw Xiao Mi pushed the brown book into the living room, his gaze turned dark. He looked at Xiao Mi ad narrowed his eyes. ”Xiao Mi!”

Xiao Mi meowed as his gaze met with Yang Yun. He patted the leather book with her paw and looked at the two-person before him.

Yang Yun hesitated.

In the past, his wife was the only person who could understand Xiao Mi's meow. But after living with that black cat for a few years during Mingyue's absence, Yang Yun could understand Xiao Mi a bit through his action.

Naturally, Yang Yun could make a guess on why did Xiao Mi brought out his brown leather book.

However, looking at Mingyue now, Yang Yun was not sure if it would be the right time.

”What is it?” Mingyue stood up and crouched down next to Xiao Mi. She listened to Xiao Mi meowed and glanced at the brown book. ”You want me to look inside?” Mingyue glanced at Yang Yun before she picked up the book to look inside. ”Can I see what's inside?”

Yang Yun flinched as he looked at Mingyue. Then, slowly, he nodded, giving her his permission.

Mingyue grabbed Xiao Mi and went back to the sofa. She cast another glance at Yang Yun and saw that he was staring at the book anxiously. ”Why are you looking like that?” She moved closer to Yang Yun and asked, ”Will it really be alright if I look?”

”Of course, it's alright,” Yang Yun sighed. He looked at Mingyue and saw her hesitation. ”It's nothing you haven't read before. This brown leather book contained the same story you've read before.”

”The one you wrote?” Mingyue asked. Her eyes brightened as she untied the binding around the book and flipped it open. Some of the papers fell on the ground. ”Sorry.” she bent down to pick the documents but was stopped by Yang Yun.

”Don't worry. I'll get them.”

”Thank you,” Mingyue smiled. She returned her gaze towards the book and skimped read a few pages. They were scenes that she had read before. After a few pages, Mingyue began to notice something.

In the past, when she read the same story, written on papers, Yang Yun had never written the main character's name. Almost everyone her got a name, but for the main characters, Yang Yun would refer her as 'the girl.'
