262 Confessing the Truth 3 (1/2)
Yve finds herself on the bed with a pair of arms wrapped around her body. It belonged to the man who she married and never stopped loving her. She looks around and notices the unfamiliar motif of the room and realizes that they went to the base early at dawn and revealed everything to Vince. She looks at the man sleeping beside her and can't help but recall what happened a few hours back.
------ FLASHBACK ------
Vince continued to embrace Yve and the latter just let him.
'If this will ease his anxiety and anger on what had happened, I don't care anymore.' Yve thought as she embraced him back.
They stay in the same position for quite some time before Yve breaks the silence.
”Are you mad at me for keeping it a secret?”
”….”
”Vince?”
”Earlier, yes. I thought we promised to each other that we're not going to keep a secret anymore. I was feeling guilty for some time as I hid the truth from you. Then you were also keeping something as heavy as your safety.” Vince finally voiced out.
”I'm very sorry. I don't want you to worry which is why I kept it from you. It will not happen again.” Yve made another promise.
”Of course! This time, no matter what happens… heavy or not we will not keep it a secret anymore. As soon as we are in the position to update each other, we're going to do that. Okay?” Vince reprimanded Yve.
”Hmmm…..” Yve instantly agreed with Vince's new condition.
”How about my project with Stones?”
”I'm not mad about it. You can handle any project that you like in relation to your company as long as it will not hinder your studies and current plans on SkyMu.” Vince answered.
”It doesn't. And the project was just a short term one so I didn't mind doing it.”
”I know and you're doing a great job on it; from the reports and even to the feedback of the staff.” Vince remarked before kissing her forehead.
”Feedback? The staff didn't say anything during your site visit!” Yve looks at his husband in search of the answer before realizing the slip of her tongue.
”Hmm…. So you even went as far as using the team's device to cover up for Edward's lack of knowledge on the project during the visit, huh!” Vince smirked at his intelligent yet a bit stubborn wife.
”Well…. It's fine now. At least you decided to tell me everything rather than me noticing it or discovering it on my own.”
”Hehehehe… thank goodness. So now, spill it. What about those feedbacks?”
”They have been complimenting Edward on a job well done when they thought either Edward or I are listening. I thought they were just licking boots, but now, I can say those positive remarks are for you.” Vince explained.
”Hmm…. I see.”
”Now that's out of the question.” Vince naughtily remarked before pulling his wife to his hidden bedroom in the office.
”Vince! We're in the base!”
”Don't worry as only Edward and the Team know about the entrance to this room.” Vince replies as they fall on the bed.
”VINCE!!! I'm not yet…”
”I know. I'm just too sleepy at the moment. I don't even have the strength to do what you're thinking. If you still want it, let me sleep for about an hour then you can have what you want with me. Okay?” Vince smirked earning a strong slap on the arm from Yve.
