325 Investor’s Dinner 3 (1/2)

”Are you ready?” Vince asks her while looking straight in her eyes.

”I'm afraid I'll never be but I have to, right?” Yve squeezes their hands all together before releasing a deep sigh.

The door to the private room is then opened and four people inside stand up to greet the couple.

”Good evening, Mr. Gray and it's finally nice to meet you Mrs. Gray.” One of the two gentlemen in the group offers his hand for a handshake to which Vince and Yve accept.

”Your dress looks fashionably elegant, Mrs. Gray!” The lady beside the same man snakes one of her arms around her partner or so it seems.

Vince introduces each one of them to Yve and she's able to conclude that these people are indeed couples. Just after the greetings, waiters arrive with the soup on their trays.

”It's time for dinner ladies and gentlemen. Let's take our seats.” Vince encourages all of them to eat and they all start to sit down beside their partners respectively.

In the middle of their first course, the other gentleman finally speaks up the main reason for their dinner.

”No offense, Mrs. Gray but we do believe that this dinner is about meeting the president of SkyMu.”

”Babe, Mr. Edward said that he will try. It wasn't really a promise and besides meeting Mrs. Gray is a very nice deal in exchange.” His partner says so.

”No need to worry, my husband has clearly received the message and so that's why I'm here. I'm the new president of SkyMu.” Yve answers in behalf of her husband.

The news is really something unexpected for everyone else in the room as evident on the investors' faces. Vince has long expected their reactions but it seems that his wife didn't.

”Is there anything wrong with me being the new president?” Yve asks the investors as she tightens her grip on Vince's hand just beneath the table.

”Please don't take this in a negative way, Mrs. Gray. We just never thought it could be you.”

Yve gets more worried by the remark she keeps on hearing for the past few minutes.

”Babe, Mrs. Gray is getting scared with what you just said. Please make it clear enough.”

”I apologize, Mrs. Gray. I meant that I didn't expect you to be the president right now and have the achievements the company just received. It's really amazing considering that you never had an official business lesson prior to your enrollment to your current school.”

Yve finally smiles with relief.

The investors can't help but notice how Yve easily feels nervous so it wouldn't be good to directly proceed with their questions regarding SkyMu and her future plans for it. So even without words, the investors decided to exchange in casual conversations which Yve finds very comfortable. Then finally the dessert arrives and is being placed on their table.

These delicacies are the ones Haru made in time for her wedding. Yve and Vince loved it so are the guests. So she's pretty sure that the investors would also like it.

”This cake is very delicious and the chiffon is soft.”
