I felt strong arms holding me before the cold sheets of the bed chilled my skin. I was awake but at the same time, I felt incredibly tired.

I heard Gray ask me something but I wasn't paying attention.

”Call me when you get up.” I sensed him turning away but I was reluctant to let him go. So I did what I knew best, held on to him.

”Don't go!” I pleaded and hoped that he would listen.

”Are you feeling okay?” His voice sounded deeper than usual, almost like it was strangled, and through the hazy images displaying before me, I could feel his eyes staring intently at me.

”I'm fine, I just don't want to be alone. Can you please stay some more with me?” I tried to get a grip on my sleepiness and to become alert. I sat up in the bed, my fingers still clutching on his sleeve.

”Okay, I'll keep you company, but try to get some sleep, you haven't had much last night.”

”It's fine, I'm not sleepy. Are you hungry? Or maybe some coffee.”

”I'm fine, thank you. We just ate not long ago.”

”Yeah, but the coffee wasn't that good.”

”Sorry about that, didn't have much of a choice there.”He grumblingly answered but I could hear the joking tone he usually had when he wanted to tease me.

”I can make some killer coffee you know...” I added trying to convince him, and in return, I only got a chuckle from him.

”I'm being serious. I can do that much.” I was annoyed because I felt he treated me like a kid.

”I know you can. Even today I drink my coffee with milk and vanilla thanks to you.” Despite my tiredness, I felt blood rush to my cheeks, making me more alert of my surroundings.

”It's been a long time since I made you some coffee… or the last time we met” I remembered our last discussion at his house.

”Actually I made myself coffee last time. You really have been neglecting my caffeine needs.” He corrected my observation with a sulking tone. A smile simply rose on my lips. He was trying to make me feel guilty, but I had my own ammunition to fight back.

”I'm sure you had someone to make you a cup of coffee. How's your wife doing?” I taunted him half-joking, half-serious.”

”I was waiting for his reply but he got none.

”Actually there wasn't anyone. I wanted to talk about it, but too many things happened.” He was serious this time and his attitude gave it away that it was something important for him. I looked over and he had his eyes looking straight at the carpet, avoiding my gaze.

”It's okay, you can tell me, I'm listening.” I tried to encourage him but he still hesitated.

”Here take a seat. Now is as good as a time as ever to talk about what's bothering you.” I pulled my legs closer to me and offered him to take a seat on the bed near me. I didn't want to let go of my grip. He obeyed me but he remained silent.

”Is it that bad that you can't tell me? Did you change your mind? But then you wouldn't...” I started going over my worst fears but before I could finish I felt a firm grip on my arm and my body being pulled toward his broad chest. Before I realized what was going on, my lips had been silenced and my arms reached for his shoulder in order to support myself to not lose my balance. I never knew I was so flexible until that moment.

After the initial shock of the sudden movement, I came to realize what was going on. Despite the numerous thoughts crawling in my head, I could think of none more important than that moment. Or better said I could not think.

The words I wanted to say were swallowed by his greedy lips, my thoughts were melted by his heat and I was finally able to let all my worries go. It seemed silly how all those thoughts were actually so unimportant. What was important was that he was there, with me, despite everything and everyone else and I was content with that.

His hot lips only released mine after a long time had passed. His fingers were playing with my disheveled hair, like a tiger playing with his pray before going for the kill. His darkened eyes made me anxious but at the same time intrigued me, making me wonder what will happen next.

My skin burned at his touch, his hand drawing the contours of my face, slowly sliding towards my arms, up to my fingertips. After the scorching hot sensation of his caress, a comfortable warmth spread from the places he touched. I felt alive again.

I was finally able to quench my thirst, and I felt like a man that had found water in the desert.

Encouraged by his gaze and by his moves, I instinctively responded to his needs. I pushed the cover of the bed that was slightly between us and moved closer to him until I could feel his warmth emanating from his body. I wanted to be near him as much as I could as if possessed by something beyond my control.
