Chapter 72 - Unknown Sister? (1/2)
Hecathe took out a piece of paper from his pocket and finally made his way to the address of the restaurant that was written down on the paper.
This paper had been given to him by Kelly who had instructed him to wait for her there while she somehow arranges the money needed in order to bribe him into joining their golden fire guild.
Because Hecathe had made a stop at the black market, it was only natural that he was late, and instead of him waiting for the woman, the situation reversed itself and it was Kelly who was forced to wait for him at the restaurant.
”You're finally here?” Kelly sighed as she questioned when she saw the man approaching her table, ”I told you to wait here, didn't I? Where did you run off to?”
Hecathe pulled a chair for himself and casually took a seat in front of the woman as he replied, ”I am yet to join the guild so you're not my boss currently. I am not obliged to do everything you tell me to.”
”...” Kelly glared at the man as she heard this and it was clear that she didn't enjoy Hecathe's rudeness.
”Did you bring the money?” Hecathe was never a person who liked to beat around the bush so he got to the point and asked straightforwardly.
Kelly sighed as she picked up a heavy bag and placed it on the table along with some papers, ”The money is here. You can count if you don't trust me.”
Hecathe smiled as he shook his head and picked up the bag, ”I trust you so I won't bother counting.”
The reason why he was not counting was most likely because he just found it troublesome and not because he trusted her but he would naturally not tell her that.
”And what is this?” Hecathe asked as he looked at the papers that had been presented in front of him.
”The guild joining form. Since I'm already here, might as well have you fill it out in front of me.”
”Is that so?” Hecathe was a bit amused to hear the woman, ”It seems that you don't trust me.”
”You just asked me to pay you two million just for you to join our guild. I would naturally not trust you.”
The more Hecathe heard this woman speaking, the more he felt that she was really like him. She was also a brutally honest person who would never bother beating around the bush.
Hecathe smirked as he commented, ”I have a feeling that we'll be getting along really well.”
Kelly couldn't help but let out a dry chuckle as she heard this, ”You think so? Well, I hope you're correct cause if we don't get along well, I might just end up killing you by mistake.”
”Just to remind you, I really hate people who threaten me,” Hecathe responded with a small smile.
”...”
'Master, is she your sister?' The Dorgon questioned and Hecathe didn't bother giving him a response since he didn't want Kelly to know about the Dorgon egg, 'You're both grumpy and ruthless.'
Hecathe smiled as he heard the last part and almost wanted to say something to that but he tried his best to not respond to the Dorgon.
