41 Hand (1/2)
The silence was unbearable.
Fan Ying stood before his own daughter, as if she were a criminal. He faced her full of animosity and dislike.
Just by looking at his body language one could tell that he really disliked even seeing Fan Daiyu much less knowing she was alive.
They stare at each other. Fan Daiyu only revealed contempt and disdain as her heart broke to pieces and Fan Ying revealed dislike as he cursed her deep within his heart.
Soon enough Fan Ying spoke up, ”I don't have a daughter anymore. She died four years ago.”
His cold eyes stared deeply into her trying to rip her apart with his glare.
Fan Daiyu burst into laughter.
It was a heart-breaking laugh. It was full of disdain and yet obvious sorrow. No matter how much she tried to hide it her act was bound to collapse at some point. Her eyes were wet as tears mercilessly fell down her face.
”Father I believe you when you said I was your blood. I was your born love. I was your new beginning.
I believed you when you said you would protect me. I believed you when you said you would love me. I gave you the chance to enter my broken heart. I gave you the chance to heal it but instead you only wanted to damage me more.
I loved you Papa.
I wanted you to be proud of me so I worked hard. I worked hard to become the best daughter I could be. I cultivated hard for you and mother. I wanted to elevate your names with my fame. I wanted us to be a loving family but you didn't want that.”
Fan Ying felt a pang of guilt. She had done it all for them but that had caused his hate. But… it was too late to go back now. They couldn't make up for everything that had happened.
”Daiyu leave! This isn't your home anymo-”
”SHUT UP! LET ME AT LEAST VENT OUT!”
Her face revealed all her pent up frustration, anger, and sorrow. Seeing such a face was painful for everyone except Fan Melaina. She rejoiced at the view before her without knowing that every expression she made was another dagger to Daiyu's heart.
”You father! Dearest father! You caused me so much pain. You made everything within me change. You threw me into despair when I was so unprepared to face the darkness and knowledge of my mother's death. I begged you not to throw me into that tomb! I CRIED AND KNEELED AT THE OTHER SIDE OF THAT DOOR! I SCREAMED OUT TO YOU DADDY! I CANT BELIEVE HOW NAÏVE I WAS TO EVEN CALL YOU IN SUCH A LOVING WAY WHEN DEEP IN MY HEART I KNEW MY LOVE WOULD NEVER BE RETURNED! YOU ABANDONED ME! YOU LEFT ME INSIDE A TOMB WITH MY MOTHER'S CORPSE! YOU INJURED ME PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY, AND EMOTIONALLY! YOU ARE THE WORST FATHER EVER!”
Her voice cracked as she cried and chocked on her screams. She screamed out everything leaving no room for interruption. Their past was revealed in front of multitudes and the reputation he had worked so hard to build, create, and elevate was ruined by her.
Everything he had worked so hard to create was destroyed in a matter of seconds.
He hated her. She ruined him. He should have made sure of her death the day Yenay had died.
In his angry state, he disregarded all face he had left and decided to kill her once and for all. What else was left of his reputation now?
