”Sophia ?”

Hearing her name and the familiar voice she finally lifted her head and looked at him, she couldn't help but glare at him.

”Leave ! I don't want to see your face !”

He didn't understand, why was he the one being yelled at ? She was the one that threw him...

”Are you drunk ?”

Seeing her in this state he guessed she must have drank quite a lot.

”I'm not ! I only drank a few beers...”

Finally Annie that was left aside couldn't take it, she pinched his arm and asked him with a frown

”How do you know her ?”

”She's my childhood friend and my ex girlfriend, she left me for Eric that you already know.”

She looked at him, then at Sophia and thought

'They definitely do a great couple... wait no ! He's mine now ! She's only a ex that missed her chance!'

”What are you doing here ?”

He asked, even after all she did to him he didn't want to leave her in a dangerous place alone and drunk, he didn't hate her, he just thought her way of thinking was disgusting.

”Why do you even care ?! Just leave already I want to be alone !”

She said pretty loudly, hearing that he thought of just leaving her. Why did he have to try to help her and even get yelled at after all she did to him but right then they heard

”What's this ruckus, can't we drink in the calm now ?!”

A group of five or six adolescents came out from behind a tree, following them were two girls holding a beer bottle each.

”Mind your own business !”

Said Sophia while standing up shakily.

'She definitely didn't change, always a trouble maker.'

”Sorry about this, please go back to your stuff.”

Sam said, he didn't want to have a fight during his date with Annie, she already looked intimidated and came to stand closer to him.

”Yo those are some beautiful girls you have with you, how about sharing them with us ?”

Sam looked at the two girls walking behind them and saw that they looked intimidated while looking at the guys, these girls probably weren't with them from their own volition. It was only his guess but he had to make sure,he just had to imagine this happening to Annie to decide to help them.

”Are you girls okay ?”

He asked and the six guys turned around to look at the girls, right away the two girls lowered their heads and didn't look back up until the guys turned around again to look at Sam.

He was sure now that they were forced to stay with them, he walked a few steps in front of Annie and Sophia while looking at the guy that was at the front. They did it unconsciously but he guessed that must be their leader, minions had tendency to stand behind their boss even without realizing it and that's what happened here. If he was attacked, he would focus that guy to make them lose their fighting intent.

”What if I refuse to give them ?”

”Hahah do you think you have the choice ?”

He was thinking of a way to beat the six guys while protecting the girls when a voice came from behind him

”Sam ! Long time no see !”

He looked back for a second and saw it was Eric, he looked to the front again to avoid being attacked while he wasn't looking.

Without looking at him he smiled and said

”What are you doing here ?”

”I heard Sophia yelling I came back to check on her.”

Saying that he arrived to stand next to Sam.

”It will be the second time we fight together, are you ready to take on six guys ? It's three times what we did last time..”

”Hahah I'm always ready !”
