In normal circumstances Sam would chose the level 2 boxing book because upgrading a skill was better than learning a new one, like people said ”jack of all trades, master of none.” But in this case he thought

'Boxing book would be good but I'll be in range for his knife to hit me, if I take the Muay Thai book I'll use my legs and stay away from his knife range.'

He clicked on the Muay Thai choice without regret. All the informations about Thai boxing got into his head, he want overconfident so he waited for his enemy to approach. When the guy couldn't wait anymore and approached in range of Sam's legs, Sam threw his leg from bottom to top, he was aiming for the guy's chin. When he saw the leg incoming the guy was already running so he couldn't stop, a second later the kick hit his head and the guy fell on the ground fainted.

Sam came back to his original position and looked at Eric, he had already taken a few hits by the metal bar but he hadn't given up and was giving back hit for hit. Sam came from behind the other guy and caught him from under the arms, he wouldn't care about FairPlay or whatever, he just caught the guy and let Eric hit as much as he wanted. When the guy fell on the ground both looked at the last guy, he was looking at them with fear in his eyes.

Sam left the last guy to Eric, he didn't like to fight so he just sat on the car and waited for the police to arrive. When they arrived they gave them the guys and told them what happened, the young policeman that was taking their deposition was looking at them with awe. Two guys had beaten 3 armed thugs and one of them was even wearing a knife, he had became a policeman 2 years ago and this was the first time he saw something like this.

When they were done with the police they took the car after Eric checked it to the smallest detail to check if the thugs had done something to it except trying to open it. In the car Eric said

”Thanks man, you really helped me a lot! Even if I was with these two guys from school I don't think I could've beaten them.”

”It's ok, as I didn't give you much advices today you can count this as a repayment for your help.”

”Forget about repayment, if you need someone to accompany you someday just call me, as friends this time. What do you think ? »

« Sure, dame for you. »

On the road to Annie's place they turned on the radio and the song playing was Falling down by Xxxtentacion and lil peep, both started to sing together with the radio and Sam realized that Eric didn't have a bad voice, with some training he could do rap.

They enjoyed themselves and sang all the way to their destination, at the end they started screaming the lyrics with the next songs.

Few minutes later Sam got down the car and called Annie on her phone, it was already 10PM and it was close to winter so the sky was already fully dark, he didn't want to wake up anyone that might be sleeping in the house by pressing the ring bell.

« Hey Sam, you're late. »

« Sorry Annie I got held by an unforeseen event... »

« I don't care but Em already fell asleep... maybe you should leave her here tonight and pick her up tomorrow. »

« I don't want to bother you, I'll just take her tonight. »

« I told you it's fine, I'm going back to bed! You should go to sleep too. *yaaaawn*  »

Actually the main reason why Sam wanted to take Em was because he was afraid something would happen to her.

« Fine, I'll pick her up tomorrow morning to not bother you more, have a good night. »

« Thanks, have a good night too. »

Sam for back in the car and left for home, it will be the first time in years he would sleep alone, for the last few years Em never slept away from home so he was a bit nervous but she was growing up so he couldn't over protect her.
