40 Thank me properly (1/2)

Most of the food on the table was completely new to Sam, it was asian food and except a few main stream dishes he hadn't tasted much asian food.

He ate delightedly, it had been a long time he hadn't eaten home made food. As he spent most of his time training and focusing on the contest and talent show in Paris he also ordered food at every meal, he hadn't cooked anything. Looking at his happy sister he also felt happy, as long as she was having fun, it was all that mattered.

After dinner Annie and Jin started to clean the table while the kids went to play in Rika's room and the parents sat on the couch watching TV.

”I'll help you.”

Said Sam to Annie and Jin, it was the least he could do, they had helped him too much recently and he didn't have any way to repay them, he wanted to pay them for keeping Em but was refused, money wasn't something they lacked anyway.

Jin nodded and they started carrying things over to the kitchen, as there were too much plates to carry they had to do a few round trips from the living room to the kitchen.

After awhile the table was clean and Jin left to his room, the only one left in the kitchen were Annie and Sam, Annie had already put on her apron and had started cleaning the flatwares.

Sam didn't know what to do, Em had already ran away with Rika while Jin went to his room, he would feel awkward staying with Annie's parents so he could only stay with Annie, he went near her and said

”Make some room, I'll help you.”

”What ? No you don't have to, you should go with Jin. He's probably playing a game in his room you can stay with him.”

He didn't have any intention to leave so he gently pushed her with his shoulder and grabbed a plate and a sponge, she looked at him and smiled but she didn't forget to give him a shoulder push too.

Both kept doing their thing in silence until Annie asked

”Your designer friend... what does she look like ?”

”Hm ? She a black girl, she have a great fashion sense and pretty eyes... why ?”

”No reason, I was just curious, did you take her on a date ?”

He finally understood, she was indirectly asking him if he and Rena were more than friends.

”Eh ? Nothing like that, we're just friends, I helped her and she helped me in times of need and that's how we became friends.”

After listening to his answer her smile became brighter, she didn't realize it but Sam was looking at her when she smiled and he couldn't help but stare a bit.

”I see, the outfits she did looked great on you tho !”

”Thanks. I'll still have to go to Paris when I get a mail because I won the contest as her model.”

”Really ? When are you going ?”

”I'm not sure either, the only information we have is that I'll get a text or a mail when I have to go.”

”You can leave Em here when you go, mom and dad love her like their own daughter already, the other day they took her and Rika to an amusement park, she fell asleep right away when they came back as she had too much fun.”

”Thanks a lot, you saved me so much trouble !”

”If you feel so thankful shouldn't you thank me properly?”

”What do you mean ?”

She closed her eyes while looking in his direction, he understood what she wanted but he didn't think she was that bold. His face got closer and he could feel her breath speeding up, he could hear his own heart beating so fast and strong he thought it might overwork itself and stop working suddenly.

When he was about to kiss her he saw at the door of the kitchen a man was looking at them, that crafty Jin hadn't left at all, he knew this would happen and was waiting for it.

Sam stopped, he looked at Jin and did a whoosh motion to him, kissing his sister in front of him was too embarrassing but he didn't want to miss this opportunity, he also felt very attracted to her.

Jin laughed and turned around, Sam put his back in front of Jin so that even if he turned around he wouldn't see anything and finally gently put his lips on Annie's. Her body jolted a bit and she let herself go into Sam's arms, as Sam took his time before kissing her she was afraid he didn't want to and was about to open her eyes to check but he kissed her when she was the less ready for it.
